Hello, friends. Nothing is more important to photography than light. Without light there would not be the colors that we can appreciate through our eyes and the lenses of our cameras or phones. I like light very much. I don't feel good if there is no clarity and that has a lot to do with the piscology we assume in life. The truth is that whoever loves photography, loves colors. We are fortunate to see colors.
I don't consider myself a professional or excellent photographer, but I recognize that taking pictures makes me feel that I am capturing an instant of life and that excites. I have searched on Hive for several communities in which to offer the images that I share with you today, until I finally decided to join this community of friends who share my tastes.
I have always been passionate about hanging lamps. And for some time I have been taking pictures of the ones I see, many of them in important places for the history and culture of my country, Cuba. Some of the ones I show here date from previous centuries, although the sources that illuminate them have changed, but they keep the original format.
The aesthetic of them is in the art. The use of crystals makes it possible to reflect the light, but there is something that distinguishes them even more and it is precisely the colors. When the light reflects on these red or blue colored crystals, a beam of light is projected onto the walls and floor.
This type of lamps are associated with luxury, abundance. You can appreciate them in important, old places, especially museums, city hotels, as has been my case. When I appreciate through my eyes these lamps, or the photos I take of them, I realize that there is a very refined work with glass, something difficult, because like iron, it is transformed at high temperatures achieved by an intense fire that generates heat and lots of light.
When you look at them, you realize that different geometric figures are used by the artist who designs them: balls, diamonds, squares, rectangles, triangles, ovals. All this is perceived by the lens and much better, by the eyes of the beholder.
These lamps hold a lot of history. If they could talk about everything they have illuminated... There are some of these that I show that were gifts for very well known personalities and that some time later are in art and history museums.
According to what I have been told, this type of lamps are born in Europe, specifically in Italy. Maybe that's why I like them so much, because Italian art attracts me a lot, but there will always be artists from all over the world who design them.
The led light has filled the spaces, and it is true that a beam of light emitted by these new ways of lighting, are more intense and also keep their history, especially the blue ones, but forever will have to accompany us these works of art, meticulously created, taking into account the type of glass, its thickness and the right color to reflect and project light.

Hola, amigos. Nada es más importante para la fotografía que la luz. Sin la luz no existieran los colores que podemos apreciar mediante los ojos y las lentes de nuestras cámaras o teléfonos.
Me gusta mucho la luz. No me siento bien si no hay claridad y eso tiene que ver mucho con la piscología que asumimos en la vida. Lo cierto es que quien ama la fotografía, ama los colores. Somos afortunados al ver los colores.
No me considero un fotógrafo profesional ni excelente, pero reconozco que tomar fotos me hace sentir que estoy captando un instante de la vida y eso emociona. He buscado en Hive varias comunidades en las que ofrecer las imágenes que hoy comparto con ustedes, hasta que al fin me decido por esta comunidad de amigos que comparten mis gustos.
Siempre me han apasionado las lámparas colgantes. Y hace algún tiempo vengo tomándoles fotografías a las que veo, muchas de ellas en lugares importantes para la historia y la cultura de mi país, Cuba.
Algunas de las que muestro datan de siglos anteriores, aunque han cambiado las fuentes que las iluminan, pero mantienen el formato original. Lo estético de ellas está en el arte. El uso de los cristales hace posible que se refleje la luz, pero hay algo que las distingue aún más y son, precisamente, los colores. Cuando la luz refleja en estos cristales de colores rojos o azules, se proyecta un haz de luz hacia las paredes y el suelo.
Este tipo de lámparas están asociadas al lujo, la abundancia. Las podrás apreciar en lugares importantes, antiguos, sobre todo museos, hoteles de ciudad, como ha sido mi caso. Cuando aprecio a través de mis ojos esas lámparas, o las fotos que voy tomando de ellas, me percato de que hay un trabajo muy refinado con el cristal, algo difícil, pues al igual que el hierro, se transforma a grandes temperaturas logradas por un fuego intenso que genera calor y mucha luz.
Al observarlas, te das cuenta de que diversas figuras geométricas son usadas por el artista que las diseña: bolas, rombos, cuadrados, rectángulos, triángulos, óvalos. Todo eso es percibido por la lente y mucho mejor, por los ojos de quien las mira.
Esas lámparas guardan mucha historia. Si pudieran hablar de todo lo que han iluminado… Hay algunas de estas que muestro que fueron obsequios para personalidades muy reconocidas y que tiempo después están en museos de arte e historia.
Según me han comentado, este tipo de lámparas son nacidas en Europa, específicamente en Italia. Quizás por eso me gusten tanto, pues el arte italiano me atrae mucho, pero siempre habrá artistas de todo el mundo que las diseñen.
La luz led ha llenado los espacios, y es cierto que un rayo de luz emitido por estas nuevas formas de iluminar, son más intensas y también guardan su historia, sobre todo las de color azul, pero por siempre tendrán que acompañarnos estas obras de arte, creadas meticulosamente, teniendo en cuenta el tipo de cristal, su grosor y el color adecuado para reflejar y proyectar la luz.
