At the end of a heart pounding uphill tromp these big beautiful yaks came strolling out of the forest heading down from the higher elevations for the winter. I barely had time to dig my camera out of my backpack. I tried "Auto" and quickly realized why I don't use it. The lighting was transitioning to blue hour and I barely had time to get going with manual settings. I cranked the ISO up to 800 and opened up my aperture to f/2.8 on a Canon 16-35mm lens and started giving it the 'burst of three' in continuous shooting mode. I managed a few frames I'm ok with.
