Snowy Spring In Truckee

It's been snowing again here in Truckee, California. Snow in Spring is nothing unusual around here, but yesterday, I woke up to everything being coated in a unique looking way. It was not heavy powder on top of everything, looking like a ginger bread house scene. It was instead a light layer of snow that stuck to all surfaces and made the trees look magical.

Of course I grabbed my camera gear and went to work! Historic Downtown Truckee was my destination and I'm glad I headed there because I ended up shooting some great new images. This first one, of the Truckee River in Downtown Truckee, is my favorite. It has really fired off and become "viral" on the other social medias. I can't believe how much time I've spent replying to comments, folks seem to really appreciate it. And the image has already had a sale on my new website!

These were all shot with the Canon 5DS R and a 24-105 mm lens. The camera's ISO was 200, and the shutter speed and lens aperture varied. All shot handheld.

Thank you for looking, I hope you enjoyed these new snowy spring shots. Have a great day!
