This was my first bird photography experience!
Finally nice weather is here and its time to test my new cannon 300mm lens!
I went to a local swamp that contains more than 300 bird species.
I did some mistakes of not watching my shutter speed so some pictures aren't as sharp as they should, most of the times I used 1/1000 but if the bird is moving fast 1/2000 would have been better.
Gear used for this blog:
Canon 70D
Canon EF 300mm f/4.0 L is Usm
Teleconverter 1.4x
Ducks lined up nicely here, couldn't get closer for a better angle (they get scared easily and run away)
This picture is a gem! Timing was on point hehe
I was so excited when i took this picture but I made a big mistake of not setting my shutter speed to 1/2000
There were alot of hawks
And of course Swans are friendly enough to let you get close and take some nice pictures (more on my blog)
A bonus Boar for the end of this blog! Didn't want to risk getting closer because there were 5 Boars nearby but it was very exciting!
Hope u guys liked my pictures, can't wait for exams to finish so I can get out there and practice more! Looking forwards to share my progress and tips I learn along the way :)
