I just had to show you the other side of this mountain.
Driving along in the countryside here in the Western Cape province of South Africa, one can see so many beautiful sights. Ooh, what a wonderful feeling to be..."on the road again"...whenever we take a trip out. It feels like freedom and everywhere one looks, nature embraces one with open arms. Unexpected sights and farms galore as each kilometer clicks by. And we get a thrill at every different view.
Come and see.
Not much that one can expect to find behind that rocky outcrop, as we approached, but all the photos here are on the other side of that rocky outcrop. Such as the first photo above.

That is the road that we came in on below.
Now how would you like to have a vacation in one of these cottages?
Surrounded by a chain of bigger mountains.
Of course, man's hand can also be seen as that forest is being cut back to make space for new farming lands. It worries one a bit about the eco-system.
Another valley of trees. Looks almost the same as the previous one, but when one takes a careful look, you will see that it is a different valley at the left-hand in the first photo in this post.
And finally, that is our road back home.
A relaxing jaunt on the road through the countryside always allows one to stop every here and there, in order to take photos. The roads are good, and the views are even better. I think it is better than to sit and watch TV all day, or to walk idly around in shopping malls. Better also than to stare, all the time, into a mobile phone screen, as this is reality, and its beauty is unsurpassed.
Our work is not easy and that's why we so adore these outings, just to get into the car, to turn the key, and to take an unplanned drive. Believe me, when I say, that it always delivers, and I don't mean that it delivers stresses, but rather unreal visions of beauty. We know that there are many farms here in the winelands, and they can be found in all directions. It is always interesting to see the differences and the beauty of the farms, with the mountains in the backdrop.
Such is life.
