Hello my beautiful Hive Family!
Today I am back with some shots from a walk I took yesterday afternoon.
I live in Barcelona, precisely in an area called Born.
I took a walk passing by the wharf and the Christopher Columbus statue pointing to the American Continent, to finally get up to the Montjuic, a hill with a castle on top that watches over the shore.
I took some picture along the way starting from this very tight and short alley with this funny fake monkey hanging on a rope.
I saw that already many time but never had the chance to take a shot with my camera until yesterday.
I then took this walk to reach the end of the famous "Rambla", where the Christopher Columbus monument is situated.
The top of the hill you can see on the background was my final destination.
Funny how in Italian the name Christopher Columbus is Cristoforo Colombo, which colombo is a way to call a pigeon, just like two pigeons standing on the statue! 🤣
Once at the top of the Montjuic I took a walk behind the castle from which you can see the sea and the industrial harbour area.
There is also some nice nature there, one of the main reasons that makes me hike up there, and I took a break in this nice spot shown in the next photos.
There are always a lot of seagulls flying around the Montjuic.
I finally walk to another spot with a viewpoint to watch and photograph the sunset, but unfortunately was too cloudy, but I was still able to catch some cool colors in the sky.
I thought it was already gone, but finally the setting sun decided to show itself, even if just for a brief time, before it disappeared behind the hills in the horizon.
👽 A Short Alien Story.
After the sun completely set I decided to sit on the grass for a few minutes for a meditation, when an old man approached me and started talking about when he was 17 years old and he saw an U.F.O. from that precise place and telling me how he was left without words, because at the time he had never heard about U.F.O.s and had no clue what it could have been! What a cool story and how interesting the man was so eager to tell me about it. He was hanging around with a binoculars and probably trying to see the aliens again since it happened many years ago. I hope he will see them again!
On the way back I still was inspired on taking these few last shots.
I surely enjoyed the walk, the whole thing took me about 3 hours but it was worth being out and walking up the Montjuic to enjoy a nice view and some nature.
I hope you all enjoyed the photos, if you did, smash the like button a visit my blog for more original content!
