Hello itinerants all over the world and hive community! What's up with you guys? It's another day which means another blog. The weather seems gloomy here in our hometown and as I write I am multitasking doing some chores at home and I'm very excited because it's actually my first time posting here in the #PhotographyLovers community and I'm really astonished by the amazing shots I've been seeing from your posts. Just a disclaimer, I'm not a professional photographer so please bear with me as I share my noob shots. I am just really thrilled to be here for I also learn a lot of photography skills and how to edit some photos. I am very open with corrections regarding the photography terms that I might mistakenly use so please I beg you to always chime in to educate me.
For today's episode, I am going to share with you some of the photos I took at the Garden. I had my friends as my subject. It was the time when we had our trekking activity in Cebu and by the way, they are also part of this community.
In the mountainous area of Cebu City, there we have this breath-taking scenery called Sirao Garden. There are two ways on how to go there depending on the level of adventure you prefer. In our case, we had a bit of trek going to the garden and had a side trip in one of the peaks nearby. It was almost an hour hike and it was truly such a tiring experience but everything was worth it when we finally enjoyed the picturesque and refreshing view on top.
Since I was with adventurous people, we took the more extreme. Prior to Sirao Garden, we had an hour walk going to Sirao Peak.
That was actually my first trek and as a beginner I had no idea how extreme it was and how it feels like walking in a steep and slippery mountain. Good thing the weather did cooperate that time so we didn't have any troubles with the activity.
Nonetheless, it was very fun because we intently did that activity for fitness purposes. Plus the soothingly cold weather. Everything's worth it when we finally reach the top because we can see the best mountain view near the Metro.
We only had approximately a 15 minute lunch break at the peak because we still needed to go to Sirao Garden, our main stop. We went back the way down and asked our guide the shortcut going to the garden.
I tried some wide shots and had my friend pose for it. Whenever I'm on a trip with friends, I am always responsible with the photos and documentations. That's the very reason I only have a few photos of mine whenever I go travel with them. And by the way. the photos above were taken at the Sirao Peak not Sirao Garden.
I just used my iphone 5c to take these photos and used the chrome filter. I am not really sure if I can consider these shots as part of portrait photography so please correct me if I'm wrong because I'm such a newbie when it comes to this. My friend Jera seemed really having a great time posing with the vivid flowers of Sirao Garden.
My friend Tess is nailing it. Her outfit and head band really looked perfect with these flowers. Making people smile at the camera is one of the greatest joys that photography gives me every time I do photoshoots with friends. I will be mindful next time to always make the background clear like there shouldn't photobombers so photos would look a lot better.
This photo was supposed to be candid however some of them couldn't resist to smile at the camera. I can really say that it's one of my unforgettable experiences in Cebu like being part of a Language Community and to have met such wonderful and amazing people from different parts of the world. I do hope to meet them again soon.
That's basically it, if it happens that you have visited the place already, please care to share your experiences in the comment section below. Everyone's glad to hear the stories of yours! Just always remember that learning is a lifetime process. You can learn from your experiences, trips and from other people. The world is so vast. Explore and Learn! Traveling isn't is as expensive as you think! There's a so called travelling on a frugal way with a purpose! I will be posting the second part of my Singapore Trip as soon as possible. Stay tuned then.
DEUCES!
