Circus Park is my favorite place for photography. It's a small park, in Bucharest, in the middle of a fairly central neighborhood.
It's not so much the beauty of the park that attracts me but the fact that I go to the park once a month, every month, and so not only do I know the place very well but I can easily notice any changes.
Now we experience a hot summer and parks are the few places where people gather to escape the sun's hot rays. Most people prefer to rest on benches, read or use their smartphones, and not admire the scenery.
And the scenery is beautiful, especially the pond in the middle of the park.
The treasure in the park is in this pond. The treasure in the pond is the Egyptian lotus. We can't find it anywhere else in Bucharest.
Unfortunately, some mistakes were made when cleaning the pond and many plants were destroyed. In the past, the whole surface of the pond was covered with lotuses. Now there are few such plants left.
The lotuses bloom in July - August and I look forward to seeing the flowers. I was glad because I was not the only one. I saw a young man making great efforts to get some better pictures.
I saw someone else, a young girl, making even more, a video, of course, to put it on social media.
I took photos of the people in the park, the birds, and the lotus flowers. This is one of them.
I found a few flowers and hope there will be more in August when I return to this park on my monthly walk.
