Having a life without excesses is not for everyone, because getting rid of the amount of advertising and our nature of wanting to have comforts is something difficult to achieve, it requires effort and change of mentality and I think there is nothing more difficult than changing the way we think because of our culture, upbringing and so on, yet it is not impossible.
To begin with, we have the erroneous belief because society has taught us so, that the more things we have, the more comfortable our lives will be and therefore the more peaceful and happy we will be. But when we stop to think about it, we can only conclude that this is not true, happiness has nothing to do with our possessions, but it does indeed have to do with the tranquility we have in our lives.
Living with only what is necessary is a habit that brings us great benefits and we can learn to have it, however, like any good habit it takes time to develop it, but above all constancy. Nothing starts all at once, so it takes time to get rid of what we have at home and we do not really need, especially because sometimes we have the habit of getting stuck with certain objects, do not worry, we have all become attached to some garment, furniture and other things.

Somewhere I heard that as we have our home, so is our mind, I do not know how true this is, but what I do know is that when there is no space at home because it is full of objects, ornaments and furniture, we can not be completely calm. When my husband and I got married and moved into our house, we realized that we both had a lot of things, his bachelor furniture, mine and also the ones we had bought together, it is a small house so in our room there was almost room to move through.
This slowly started to stress me out, no matter how much I tidied or cleaned it looked messy, to illustrate, it felt like that when we have a lot to think about because we have had problems and suddenly a new problem comes up, the stress and helplessness of not being able to sort it all out at once, so somehow the many things in the house made me feel like I had too many things on my mind as well.

With time we decided to simplify and stay with less, only with what we really use and suddenly, I no longer felt that way, there was space to walk freely around the room and when I ordered it was noticeable, thinking about this I came to a conclusion, it is true, as is our house is our mind, but it is because what is in it or what we perceive of it can influence us, now we can decide whether it will influence positively or negatively.
It takes time and requires patience from us to create a new habit, but how great it feels is good inside because we feel at ease with what is outside.
