Hello Friends of Hive! Happy Thursday, today I will comment on a very important album for the musical career of the British rock group, Queen.
I wanted to do this post first because this was the first rock band I heard, thanks to my mom. She is a big fan of this band and I grew up listening to all their albums, which makes me have a special affection for them apart from the high musical quality they have.
Hola Amigos de Hive! Feliz jueves, el día de hoy comentaré acerca de un álbum bastante importante para la carrera musical de la agrupación británica de rock, Queen.
Quise hacer este post primeramente porque esta fue la primera banda de rock que escuché, gracias a mi mamá. Ella es una gran fanática de esta banda y crecí oyendo todos sus discos por lo cual hace que le tenga un cariño especial aparte de la alta calidad musical que poseen.
Queen is a band formed since 1970 so they were able to record quite a few albums. In this case I will write about the Jazz album that contains 13 songs, this was recorded in 1977 and was important in the career, this album set a pattern, a before and after in the way of composition of their songs.
Queen es una banda formada desde el año 1970 por lo que pudieron grabar bastantes discos. En este caso escribiré sobre el disco Jazz que contiene 13 temas, este fue grabado en el año 1977 y fue importante en la carrera, este disco marcó una pauta, un antes y un después en la forma de composición de sus canciones.
The album has several interesting facts, for example, it begins with the theme Mustapha, this song has the particularity that in its lyrics there are words in Arabic, Persian and obviously English, it was written by Freddy Mercury. It also has the Dreamer's Ball theme, which is a tribute to the American musician Elvis Presley, this was composed by guitarist Brian May and is a blues theme, which shows us the great creativity and capacity that the band possessed. When they played this song live, they arranged it very differently from the recording of the album, but it was still amazing.
El disco tiene varios datos interesantes por ejemplo, comienza con el tema Mustapha, esta canción tiene la particularidad que en sus letras hay palabras en árabe, persa y obviamente inglés, fue escrita por Freddy Mercury. También tiene el tema Dreamer's Ball que es un tributo al músico norteamericano Elvis Presley, esta fue compuesta por el guitarrista Brian May y es un tema de blues, la cual nos muestra la gran creatividad y capacidad que poseía la banda. Cuando tocaban este tema en vivo, le hacían arreglos muy distintos a la grabación del disco pero de igual manera quedaba asombroso.
From the blues, they jump to the funk/Disco genre with the song Fun It, this in my opinion is the song that stands out the least on the album, it's not on my list of favorite Queen songs. This was composed by drummer Roger Taylor.
Del blues, saltan al género funk/Disco con el tema Fun It, este en mi opinión es el tema que menos resalta en el disco, no está en mi lista de temas favoritos de Queen. Esta fue compuesta por el baterista Roger Taylor.
On this album is one of the iconic songs of the group, the song Don't Stop Me Now and of course it is one of my favorite songs. This was written by Freddy Mercury and here he makes it clear that he lives to have fun and that he has no limits, in this song he reflects a lot as Freddy was. This song became a classic over the years, it is one of the most popular like Bohemian Rhapsody.
En este disco está uno de los temas icónicos de la agrupación, la canción Don't Stop Me Now y por supuesto que es de mis temas favoritos. Esta fue escrita por Freddy Mercury y acá nos deja claro que él vive para divertirse y que no tiene límites, en este tema se refleja bastante como era Freddy. Esta canción se volvió un clásico al pasar de los años, es una de las más populares como Bohemian Rhapsody.
