He querido aprenderme más canciones de Cerati para ampliar un poco más lo que ha sido el trabajo del tributo a este mismo artista, trabajo el cual mostrate dentro de poco en un post 😊. Había querido cantar esta canción en algunas ocasiones previas, pero nunca termine de consolidarla como tal. A veces me sucede que puedo dejar canciones en un gavetero por un tiempo, simplemente porque no logré conseguir encajar con su esencia o su tono. Pero hace unos días, me salió en sugerencias de YouTube una lista con esta canción, así que puse manos a la obra para enteros mejor y ver cómo podría cantarla.

"Karaoke" es una canción del álbum "siempre es hoy" (It's always today) álbum el cual creo que ya he tocado casi por completo je,je. La canción, en sentido lírico, es un poco llorona ja,ja,ja. Pero hey, de igual forma, es interesante entender la emoción de despecho que transmite esta letra.

I wanted to learn more Cerati songs to expand a little more what has been the work of the tribute to this same artist, work which I will show you soon in a post 😊. I had wanted to sing this song in some previous occasions, but I never finished consolidating it as such. Sometimes it happens to me that I can leave songs in a drawer for a while, simply because I didn't manage to fit its essence or tone. But a few days ago, I came across a YouTube suggestion list with this song, so I set to work to better understand it and see how I could sing it.

"Karaoke" is a song from the album "It's always today" (It's always today) album which I think I've already played almost completely heh,heh. The song, lyrically, is a bit weepy ha,ha,ha,ha. But hey, just the same, it's interesting to understand the emotion of spite that this lyric conveys.

Básicamente, la canción nos habla de una etapa de separación, en las cual, una de las partes ya ha olvidado el sentimiento por el otro de una forma drástica y sencilla, encontrando así, a otra compañía en poco tiempo de haberse separado. La necesidad de estar con el otro se ha extinguido de forma inmediata, dejando a la relación como un capítulo, y a la persona quién fue amada como solo otro individuo que se cruzó en el camino. Es bastante fuerte vivir este tipo de cosas, son parte de la vida y la interacción humana, pero es innegable la tristeza que se siente al saber que aquella persona con la cual compartiste una vida, una intimidad, experiencias, etc, ya se ha vuelto alguien lejano por procesos sentimentales.

La canción tiene una frase que dice: "Ahora tienes tú propio show como un rey vengador". Esta oración me parecía un poco rara si soy sincero, pero tal vez, lo que quiso expresar fue una referencia al poder que tiene la otra persona cuando se le hace más fácil olvidar y estar con otro, lo que le da una posición de poder como la de un rey pero con deseos de desquitarse con su pasado amoroso. Tal vez la canción fue inspirada en un episodio de infidelidad, el cual llevó a una reacción en una de las partes para cobrar venganza con una aventura.

It is quite strong to live this kind of things, they are part of life and human interaction, but it is undeniable the sadness you feel when you know that the person with whom you shared a life, intimacy, experiences, etc., has already become someone distant by sentimental processes.

The song has a phrase that says: "Now you have your own show as an avenging king". This sentence seemed a little strange to me if I'm honest, but maybe what he wanted to express was a reference to the power that the other person has when it becomes easier to forget and be with someone else, which gives him a position of power like a king but with the desire to get even with his past love. Perhaps the song was inspired by an episode of infidelity, which led to a reaction in one of the parties to take revenge with an affair.

Hay un verso de la canción el cual dice: "El descaro baby forma parte de la diversión". A mí me gusta mucho esta parte, me da hasta un poco de risa, ya que pareciera una declaración de que lo que está llevando a cabo esta pareja es un juego de ver quién es al que le importa menos el otro, suena loco, pero parece esas películas de comedia, donde dos personas se aman y empiezan a hacer cosas para incomodar al otro por causa de alguna etapa de crisis matrimonial o algo así; a veces creo que la canción habla de algún modo sobre el poli-amor.

En fin, espero que te haya gustado esta canción de despecho y conflicto amoroso pero con una melodía muy bonita y emotiva, a eso le llamo una combinación irónica pero común si de música hablamos, aunque claro, la canción también tiene sus matices melancólicos.

There is a verse in the song which says: "Cheeky baby is part of the fun". I like this part a lot, it even gives me a little laugh, as it seems like a statement that what this couple is doing is a game of see who cares less about the other, it sounds crazy, but it sounds like those comedy movies, where two people love each other and start doing things to make the other one uncomfortable because of some marital crisis stage or something; sometimes I think the song talks in a way about poly-love.

Anyway, I hope you liked this song of spite and love conflict but with a very nice and emotional melody, that's what I call an ironic but common combination if we talk about music, although of course, the song also has its melancholic nuances.
