Tom Barry, Sabrina Dinan and Luka Bloom for Three Tune Tuesday Week 84

I used to go to gigs. Lot of gigs. Now, I do still go to gigs, but not nearly as many, it's maybe three times a year type of thing now, but when I go I always really enjoy the atmosphere, the artist's performance and general vibes.

Around a week ago or so, a large group of my friends and family had an extra special gig to attend. My brother in law is a singer song writer and released his very first studio album last year, so he had organised a gig at the Taibhdhearc, which is a really intimate gig venue in Galway. Actually most gig venues in Galway offer that intimate vibe as the majority are pretty small in capacity.

So, we headed into town around 7pm to Freeneys pub next door for a few pints of Guinness before the show and then made our way around to the Taibhdhearc just after 8pm. Doors opened at 8pm, but there was a bit of hanging around before support act Sabrina Dinan took to the stage around 8:30pm and treated us to her first live performance in seven years. It was fantastic. Tom filled the room with songs from his new album and a few other new songs after that and again it was a delight to listen to. The night was finished off with a special tribute to the Irish Peacekeeper Seán Rooney who was shot dead and Trooper Shane Kearney who was seriously injured in an attack in Lebanon. Luka Bloom joined Tom Barry, Jon O Connell and Sabrina Dinan on stage as they sang Luka's song I am not at war with anyone It was a fitting song to end a beautiful night. I invite you to all listen to this song about war and it fits perfectly with Ireland's neutral status, where we only involve our army with peace keeping.

Tom a former Army captain knows what it is like to serve overseas for the Irish army, having served for over twenty years, so it was very emotional for all involved. It was a heart warming moment and a poignant end to a marvellous night.

This gig gave me the motivation for this week's three tunes, which will be one song each from Tom, Sabrina and Luka. That song above is a bonus extra tune.

It's Tuesday folks and for our merry little band of ladies and lads, that means sharing tunes, good vibes and engagement. As another week disappears in the rearview mirror, we have loads of engagement and tunes flying around on Three Tune Tuesday and sure isn't that bloody fantastic! I hope you're ready to share three tunes from wherever you find yourself on this magical spinning lump of rock that we all call home and sure you might even sing us a tune if we're lucky?

Tuesday is here again, which can only mean one thing, another three tunes from me and hopefully from lots of you good folks too. How are all of you music loving rockers from Youghal to Yonkers doing on this fine evening? Sure, isn't great to be alive all the same.

It's a time of the week when lovers of music, tunes and craic bring their blockchain community three of their finest and brightest tunes to share and celebrate, so let's roll on and let the tunes flow free.

This is my 84th week waxing lyrical for Three Tune Tuesday and we are still going strong.

It started off with me just sharing tunes into what seemed like a void, but little by little others joined and now I'm thrilled that we have a little corner of Hive where we come and share our tunes every Tuesday, and long may it continue. I almost stopped posting the songs and thoughts a few times, but I stuck with it and now interestingly it is my favorite thing about Hive. I love music and now I have a network of folks around the world who love music too and we share our tunes and catch up with each others tunes and discuss them each week. We get Pop, Metal, Rock, Gospel, Folk, Jazz, Rap, Hip-Hop, Trip-Hop, Reggae, Bippy bappidy Flange Hop. Ok I made that one up, but you get the idea, we are all learning about new artists, bands, back stories and sure isn't it just mighty!

Something that excites me the most is that we even get musicians sharing their covers of famous songs and even their own songs from time to time here on #ThreeTuneTuesday, which is a real favorite of mine, as that takes talent, time and dedication.

We are adding New posters and retaining our core of regulars here on #TTT which is fantastic. Let's keep it growing. Weekly, I try to find three or five hours to listen to all of the fantastic music shared from like-minded folk from around the globe and interact with their posts. This has led me to genres I don't know well and to some amazing new bands and artists and has even introduced me to some musical instruments I did not know existed. It also allows me to upvote smaller accounts and find some really interesting people from all over the world, which is heartening.

I hope you enjoy the tunes - be sure to tell me all about it in the comments below and above all else, please enjoy the rest of your Tuesday - smile at a stranger, rub a dog, be a nice human to someone who was not expecting it - peace out.

For those unfamiliar with TTT or Three Tune Tuesday....

The jist is as follows

Every Tuesday I'm going to share 3 songs which I like to listen to and I invite your feedback in the comments below. Better still, why not have a blast of your own Three Tune Tuesday and mention me in the post and I'll come and find the post and upvote it. If you could also use #threetunetuesday tag that would be great, as that is what I use when sifting through all the entries every Wednesday. It'll be a sweet way for us all to discover new music. You'll also be in with a chance of winning the prize - more on that later.

Here are my week eighty four recommendations for Three Tune Tuesday

** Drum roll please.....**

Tom Barry - Shores of The Morning

This is one of my favourite songs from Tom's new album. It has nine Youtube views to date, nine. Meanwhile Aqua's Barbie girl has 1.1 Billion. Yep, it's a strange old world. Hopefully you will be one of those that propel this song into double digits and beyond and maybe leave a little message as a comment underneath if you're so inclined.

Sabrina Dinan - In the dark

I struggled to find many of Sabrina's songs on Youtube. I guess that's what happens when you hang up the Mic for seven years. I really hope that on her second attempt she gets a break and is in the right place at the right time for someone to hear her and give her the shot she deserves.

Luka Bloom - You Couldn't Have Come At A Better Time

I will leave ye with this one, of a very young Luka Bloom singing his heart out. I'd highly recommend catching a Luka Bloom concert if you ever get a chance. Here is where you can catch him if you are so inclined.
