Carrying over from the adventure I started with the family yesterday, today we add some hiking to the glamping.
I earned a day of vacation relaxation but remembered it was Wednesday and that means finding somewhere cool to walk. The trail by the trailer was close and the perfect steps to take through the woods.
Just 10 yards in, there was a left turn into a nice green path. It had rained all night and the walk was feeling like a tropical jungle adventure.
I had to pause and look up to the heavens and get my straight up shot. The way the trees reach in and cross their arms overhead.
A short way down the path, I came upon a scene of rebirth. The tree had fallen and become the place for these shrooms to begin their life. I crawled through some poison ivy so that I could get the right angle on this marvel of mycelium mechanical mastery.
Of course I found my way back to the chairs around the fire for a beer.
