Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day from the Big Island Hawaii!

I spent most of my day on the road. My first stop was the flea market in Ocean view. No big finds there. Got a good bargain on mangos and a few tomatoes. I was restless, so I decided to make a trip to Kona.

I stopped at my favorite thrift store in Captain Cook. It's called Treasure Island and has all kinds of things from furniture to clothes and household items.

They were giving out free food for Mother's Day. I was so hungry as I didn't take the time to eat before I left home. They had made pansit.. noodles with chicken and vegetables, rice and BBQ Chicken wings.

Omg..it was so delish, especially the chicken wings. I tried to give them a $20 donation but they refused to take it.

I then headed to Kona with a smile on my face and a happy tummy.

It was so hot in Kona, I didn't make my usual rounds to the health food store and Costco. I simply ran into Walmart, picked up a few things and headed back to Naalehu. I didn't even bother to go to the beach.

I was ready to get back to cooler temperatures.

I decided to stop at another flea market in Oceanview and I'm so glad I did. I found my new niche for selling my products. The market had grown so much since I was there last. Instead of tents, they had put up booths, no more having to setup and take down a tent. They also had a band playing and the dj from the new Kay radio station. The parking lot was packed and everyone was cheery and actually having fun. I start there next Saturday!

I just pull up behind the booth, unload my table and setup my products... Yes!!!

I'm really excited 😀

Have a Blessed Mother's Day.
