My Actifit Report Card: November 1 2021

I'm not sure but it might have rained the entire day yesterday, except for maybe five minutes at about eleven o clock. Cumbria and Scotland have been hard hit with three times the average rainfall for October falling in just three days. Several rivers broke their banks, and two footbridges were swept away. Some areas were evacuated and in others, fourteen people were rescued from rising flood waters. Sadly, some paddle boarders and someone who attempted to rescue them were drowned. While I don't subscribe to health and safety gone mad, I do have to look askance at people who engage in leisure activities when there are life and limb weather alerts in place. As my great aunt Lucy would (frequently) say: whatever possessed you to do that?

Well, actifit has let me down again, failing to record the 2,500 steps involved in my 2.8km outing. It just can't cope when Walk Meter is running concurrently. Never mind, I have the health benefits regardless of how poor the technology is. It's only a problem when your data is informing Big Pharma, the insurance industry and the NHS. So no need to worry (that's irony, for the avoidance of doubt).

Apropos nothing, here we are HPUD day again.

Interesting that the climate crisis results in England, definitely a damp country, being even wetter.
