A visit to Market Harborough, about 13 miles south east of where I live. Spent some time exploring the Hallaton hoard from an Iron Age site in Leicestershire - precious offerings buried about the time of the Roman invasion. I enjoy finding out about pre-history.
Also a walk around the town, a sit in the town square and, later, the Memorial Gardens next to what was the Cottage Hospital (a new extension built in the 1900s by public subscription to house an X-ray department).
On the way home we dropped into the Black Horse in Foxton and sat out in the beautiful hillside garden to watch the fading of the day.
The day before we went to see the new Bond film: v. exciting!
It was also commented again that I have lost weight. That's always nice 😍.
