My Actifit Report Card: January 13 2024

Hi Everyone,

Time for another Actifit Report and Update. My year is off to an exciting start. I have submitted my book, Sapien Loop to Amazon to be published as an ebook on Kindle. Hopefully, it will be available on Tuesday. I have set the price at £4, which is about US$5.10. I think this is a reasonable price for an ebook epic novel. It has over 170,000 words, so it is like two books in terms of length. It will be interesting to see how it goes. For unknown authors, it can take a long for a book to take off even if it is good. I have great confidence in the quality of the book. I am also happy about the massaging. Will people like the book? It's hard to tell. At this point, I hope at least some people read it. If they do, then I can deal with the reactions.

Sapien Loop is now available on both my @captainhive and @spectrumecons accounts. On @captainhive, it is available as individual chapters. On @spectrumecons, it is available in five collections posts. The posts have been updated to correct for any remaining errors and typos. They are very close to the finished product. These versions will not be subject to censorship even if the published ebook is at some point. Hence, having a blockchain backup is useful.

My book was not my only posting this week. I also posted my Super Bowl predictions. I do this every year with mixed results. I posted it just in time for the first round of playoff games. So far, two games have been played. I predicted one right and one wrong. The Texans surprised me and defeated the Browns easily. They scored 45 points against one of the top defences in the league (Actually 31, Joe Flacco threw 2 pick sixes). That ruins my prediction of Joe Flacco's reunion with the Ravens. At least I predicted the Chiefs win correctly. This was more important, as I have predicted them to win the Super Bowl. So my Super Bowl matchup is in tact for now. The rest of the round will be played tonight. Fingers crossed my other predictions pan out.

Activity

I have little to speak of, in terms of interesting activity. I have been mostly indoors avoiding the January weather. It hasn't been too bad out. A bit of frost here and there, which is normal for this time of year. It has been a little drier than recent weeks. It is good to have a break from the rain. We still haven't had snow this winter, which is a little surprising. However, we still have plenty of time for snow. Snow can fall as late as April. The animals are doing fine. Hamlet the Happy Pig has not ruined hay bale yet. Mango the dog is still going strong on his walks. He is much slower now but he makes up for it with determination.

That wraps up this Actifit Report and Update. In the next report I will have news on how the launch of the book went. Would I have sold any? I can confidently say maybe. Whatever the case, it is still an accomplishment.
