Hi Everyone,
I have spent another week hard at work publishing chapters from my upcoming book Sapien Loop on my @captainhive account. I have also published a collections post of the Epilogue and Part One of the book. It contains 25 chapters/posts. They are reasonably short chapters, less than 2,000 words each and some under 1,000 words. Each one will take less than 10 minutes to read.
I am very happy with the progress of the book. It reads pretty well. A few things have been fine tuned to help consistency and readability. I am confident it will be complete before Christmas.
Activity
It was lawn mowing week. The weather was dry enough to mow both the top back lawn and front lawn. I'm guessing I'll need to do it just once more this year. The weather has turned colder now and with less daylight it won't grow very fast.
The colder weather means I will need to give Hamlet the Happy Pig and Lily Goat some more hay bales. I don't want to give them too early because Hamlet will destroy them but I don't want them to get cold either. Best I can do is monitor the temperature. If winter comes early, I might need to get them some extra bales for next year.
World of Madness Continues
Just over a week ago I wrote a post about how crazy the world has become. A big part of that is the use of language. Well, the world has become a lot crazier. People of Israel experienced one of the worst terrorist attacks this century. Horrific in nature and magnitude. I spent quite a bit of time on Twitter. Many of the things I saw was very distressing. So much hatred being expressed by people. Some of it just online and some of it playing out on the streets of our biggest cities. It is incredibly sad. I will write a post once I get my head fully around what is happening. There is so much disinformation. The media appear to be hard at work trying to stoke tensions the best they can. For now, I'll just leave it at that.
Over three years ago, I wrote a post titled 'Is Socialism being used as a path to Fascism?'. I feel this post is particularly relevant to recent events.
That wraps up this week's Actifit Report and Update. I wish everyone the best. My heart goes out to all those effected by recent events. Take care.
