The most beautiful thing about winter, I think, is the sunrise as you go to work in the morning.
The horizon fills with a riot of colors and immediately brightens your day, even if the rest of the day is gray and dreary.
But this day has a bit of both.
I went to school to a gorgeous view of the sky and a magnificent sunrise to start my day.
The children in my class were busy with various activities throughout the day, at the table, on the floor, and outside.
I also made sure we got some fresh air regularly, even though the weather was a bit gloomy that morning.
While the children at school enjoyed their lunch, which they all had to bring from home, I went home to lunch.
The sky remained as gloomy as it had been this morning as I made my way back to school.
I hoped that the weather would improve in the afternoon so we could play outside in the sun.
And my prayers were answered!
The sky cleared up, and the beautiful blue sky showed itself to us.
White clouds drifted by, and together with the children, I tried to find all sorts of animals and things in the shapes.
As you can see in the photos, our playground is under construction but is still not fully renovated.
Sand still dominates and will eventually be replaced by grass, plants, and much more greenery.
Yes, and where there is sand and water, there is mud.
The boy in the green shirt has lost his boot in the sucking mud and his friend is trying to save it.
A humorous scenario with a welcome outcome in the end.
Fortunately, we were able to absorb some vitamin D from a few wonderful sunbeams, because in the end the clouds won again.
But no one can take this wonderful moment of movement away from us.
With the children, I went inside because within an hour, they would all be picked up again, and I could go home.
Unfortunately, I missed the sunset, but on the walk home, I let my thoughts wander about the dinner I would make.
I was quick to decide.
It would be poulet in mushroom sauce, cauliflower with a milk sauce, and potato croquettes.
I was very satisfied with my meal!
While I was finishing my dinner, I was finally pleasantly surprised by the postman who came to deliver a package late.
My smartwatch, specially purchased to accurately record my steps for Actifit.
Because it bothered me that a part of this was not recorded because I didn't always carry my phone with me.
This watch should perform better, hopefully.
I'm diving into my bed, good night everyone, see you tomorrow.
