I've never been much of a dancer, so when one of my little charges asked me to help her learn to Waltz for her online PE class, she didn't know she wasn't going to be getting a good grade! After all, Uncle Nathen can do anything.....
Thing is though, after an hour of unsuccessfully trying to master this, as well as burning through a 64gb SD card as a video had to be uploaded and we'd done around 100 takes to get 1 minute of stitched together stomping, I found that I'd racked up over 7k steps! Win for me, embarrassment and failure for 8-year-old Champagne.
An old man with the coordination of a newborn giraffe and a kid with zero sense of rhythm and it was never going to end well.
Sometimes we all need to fail, best to start young is what I say!
Sorry Champagne. Sorry Teacher Ronnie, but let's look on the bright side, I'm going to earn some valuable actifit tokens!
Music class tomorrow. She can't clap rhythms either, but sadly, clapping isn't going to get me any steps...or will it?
PS If anyone else wants to learn to waltz with the excellent Teacher Ronnie and his daughter, here is the link to his video which is freely available on You Tube
