| A woman was married to Ismail, a religious scholar, who was a disciple of Imam Malik. In the joy of this blessed marriage, they were blessed with a son who was named Muhammad. After some time Ishmael died, leaving his wife and young son with considerable wealth. The mother undertook the Islamic training of her son and probably wanted him to become a Muslim scholar. But alas, his son was blind from childhood, and when one is blind, it becomes very difficult to go from teacher to teacher and travel to different cities to acquire knowledge. |

| Mother knocked on the door of prayer from her heart and continued to pray to Allah with pure intention. One night, while she was sleeping, she saw Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) in a dream saying to her: "O woman, because of your many prayers, Allah has restored your son's sight". When she woke up, she found that her son could actually see. Subhan Allah! He who hears the prayer of the afflicted and relieves his pain. |

| When Allah gave her son sight, the mother turned him to seek knowledge. Allah opened the door of knowledge to him and he became the author of a great book which is among the most authentic books in the world, i.e. Sahih al-Bukhari. Yes, that child was Muhammad bin Ismail al-Bukhari, whom Allah blessed with knowledge and a broad heart. |

| This story is for those who have knocked on the doors of wise men and doctors and have not been healed. Knock at the gates of heaven, do not despair of Allah's mercy, do not despair of prayer. Allah listens to supplications until you get tired of supplicating Him. |
