Tuesday brought the beginning of October and the start of my after-school club for News Reporting. I'll be using my background in print editing and news production to help my students prepare a newsletter and, eventually, a weekly video newscast.
For my activity, it means at least another 8 flights of stairs and an extra 90 minutes bopping around the school building. Then last night after the school club let out, we met a couple from NJ who came in for our favorite Thai spot, Tong. They were impressed with the taste and the flair of the spot, and we took a quick walk about the neighborhood to peep some of our street art. I even cheated myself some step home, since my partner secured us a drop off before they left to drive back to New Jersey.
The friendly clown from the cover was a new piece just put up a few doors down from the restaurant. Maybe more street art later this week. Until next time...
