Thursday, December 28, was pretty low-key. Thankfully, I finally got to link up with my partner at my sister's apartment near downtown Denver. She was feeling a bit under the weather, so we walked to the local Viet restaurant for the perfect remedy: Pho!
Look how happy she is with her big bowl of spicy beef broth!
The art inside the restaurant was pretty awesome, too! It was named Pho Haus, and it definitely lived up to its name and reputation!
Also in the same neighborhood was an Oregon shop that came to Denver, Voodoo Donuts. It was amazing to see the variety of gourmet donuts they have on offer. Of all the delicious choices, I got a maple and bacon glazed bar and it was fantastic. Look at the selection!
We walked back to the apartment with a good number of steps already under our belt. For our evening plans, we took an Uber to a favorite taco shop of mine to meet friends at 9pm. Sadly, the tacos at Torchy's disappointed a bit, but that was down to some lazy service at the end of the night shift. Oh well!
We finished the night at my favorite club venue in Denver, The Church Nightclub. As the name suggests, the nightclub was built in an old church. The acoustics are great for sound setup and the old 1800s stained glass and spire construction make it an amazing place to see a show.
Since the club night went well past midnight, you'll have to check back tomorrow to hear all about our exploits at the Denver hot spot. Cheers!
