I was visiting the fam in a place called Pearland and noticed they have some gorgeous trails over here.
This was the first local wildlife I encountered during this session. It is a bird called a Great Egret.
The great egret is a large, long-legged wading bird with a long, S-curved neck and a dagger-like bill. It is white with yellowish-orange bills and black legs. The great egret is also known as the common egret, large egret, or great white egret or great white heron. It is found in Asia, Africa, the Americas, and southern Europe.
Seeing these birds in person, I feel they are peculiar looking in how they move with such a lanky frame. Something about their rhythm is captivating yet goofy.

There were smaller fountains all about but this one was serious!
As nice as the lakes look, they are forbidden for most typical water activities. You're gonna have to get your skinnydipping fix someplace else!
