Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes mi más reciente trabajo la restauración de un bello ángel de madera el cual se hallaba de adorno decorativo en una vitrina de mi casa pero note que estaba ya desgastado y se veía viejo y descuidado pues fue un regalo de hace muchos años pero pese a que la pintura ya estaba desgastada y la fachada deteriorada la estructura en si permanecía firme y en buen estado.
Today I want to share with you my most recent work, the restoration of a beautiful wooden angel which was used as a decorative ornament in a display case in my house, but I noticed that it was already worn out and looked old and neglected, since it was a gift from many years ago. years but despite the fact that the paint was already worn and the façade deteriorated, the structure itself remained firm and in good condition.
Por lo que pareció un desperdicio tirarlo cuando podía darle otra oportunidad y volver a convertirlo en un bello adorno de nuevo al principio pensé en volver a pintarlo de la misma manera que antes pero cambié de opinión y quise hacer un diseño más tierno y simple pero sin lugar a duda bonito a decir verdad quede bastante satisfecha con los resultados y espero les guste tanto como a mi.
So it seemed like a waste to throw it away when I could give it another chance and turn it into a beautiful ornament again, at first I thought about repainting it the same way as before but I changed my mind and wanted to make, a more tender and simple but Without a doubt beautiful to tell the truth, I was quite satisfied with the results and I hope you like it as much as I do.
A continuación les mostrare los materiales que emplee y los pasos a seguir para su elaboración.

Paso 1
Tomé el ángel luego de sacudir y limpiarlo un poco aplique la primera capa de pintura cuando se seco aplique otra.
I took the angel after shaking and cleaning it a little, applied the first coat of paint, when it dried, applied another.
Después de pintar lo que sería el cuerpo procedí a pintar su rostro de un tono rosa suave y luego pinte con mucho cuidado sus ojos y boca.
After painting what would be the body, I proceeded to paint his face in a soft pink tone and then very carefully paint his eyes and mouth.
Paso 2
Luego procedo a tomar el trozo de cartón y dibuje dos alas del mismo tamaño que las que traía el ángel (esto lo hice porque las alas originales estaban débiles y debía aplicarle un refuerzo) las pinte y deje secar de la siguiente manera.
Then I proceed to take the piece of cardboard and draw two wings of the same size as the ones the angel was wearing (I did this because the original wings were weak and I had to apply reinforcement) I painted them and let them dry as follows .
Una vez las alas se secaron y ya están bien pintadas procedí a pegar las alas de cartón qué hice en la parte de atrás como base de apoyo.
Once the wings were dry and well painted, I proceeded to glue the cardboard wings that I made on the back as a support base.
Paso 3
Finalmente hice el cabello esto fue una idea de último minuto y tome unos trozos de cordón color café y lo pegue alrededor de su cabeza formando su cabello de la siguiente manera.
Finally I made the hair this was a last minute idea and I took some pieces of brown cord and glued it around her head forming her hair as follows.
Y LISTOO¡¡ Tenemos un nuevo y hermoso ángel de madera con una apariencia delicada y suave a decir verdad disfrute mucho convertir este adorno viejo pero con mucho significado sentimental en algo nuevo y bonito darle un nuevo giro y vida y que se está manera pudiera seguir en casa ahora con un aspecto más fresco y lindo. A decir verdad la restauración fue algo muy divertido para mi porque es una de la cosas que más me gusta hacer ya que creo que no hay que tirar algo solo porque esta viejo siempre puede arreglarse y darle un uso o apariencia diferente y de esta forma extender la vida del objeto por ello amo tanto el bricolaje y lo veo como una forma de arte qué cualquiera puede hacer solo se necesita de creatividad espero les haya gustado esta obra bonita y sencilla.
AND READY! We have a new and beautiful wooden angel with a delicate and soft appearance. To tell the truth, I really enjoyed converting this old ornament but with a lot of sentimental meaning into something new and beautiful, giving it a new twist and life and this way it could continue. at home now looking fresher and cuter. To tell the truth, restoration was something very fun for me because it is one of the things that I like to do the most since I believe that you should not throw something away just because it is old, it can always be fixed and given a different use or appearance and in this way extend the life of the object, that is why I love DIY so much and I see it as a form of art that anyone can do, it only takes creativity.
