Finally upped my rep to 60! :)

GM hivers,

I rediscovered blogging and curating and all that goodness when I found hive at the end of last year. I was surprised to see that my account was still active and I was able to login. I was also so pleased with how everything looked and worked pretty flawlessly now, compared to the old steemit days.

Here is a snap of my account info that I took at the start of 2022..

I was pretty pleased with that, but was immediately irritated with my rep score being 59. That's cool and all, but not a nice, round, more legit number like

60

So, I thought to myself that I can easily just increase that.. like in a few days maybe?

I thought rep score was just something like time on hive.. like it just went up automatically, the more you are active. Not so..

This is from the hive.blog FAQ:

So, I was way off. If I had just 'hungout' on hive and upvoted some posts and made comments.. nothing would happen.. at least not really, and not for my rep score. I needed to get posting and getting other hivers to upvote my posts. Well, ok, it takes me a bit of posting to reach a significant amount of upvotes by other hivers. But..

No prob, build it and they will come. :) I just post daily and eventually wracked up enough upvotes. I don't know the exact formula, but I'm sure more and more upvotes are needed as you level up.. I mean as you increase your rep score. (I thought I was playing some RPG for a sec)

OK, have a good day everyone. Just had to share that and I hope maybe it helps any other hivers now..

🙂

ps. Here's my rep now..
