Hola my Dearest Hivers!
I'm back! I've been quite busy these past few months just like before.
I'm happy to write again and share another story with you guys I know you noticed that some of my blogs are about volunteer work and solo travel well, that is the stuff that got my interest and love to do so please bear with me. HAHA
With that being said, today's blog is all about travel and Tree-planting events as well we had this planned a few weeks ago after the Typhoon landed in our County which destruct and killed a lot of residents here in Rizal, and the sad part is the most affected are our city. I witnessed the aftermath of the typhoon and it was heartbreaking especially when I saw dead people with my own eyes.
Fast forward, were able to conduct a rescue operation and donation drive for those affected kudos to those people who donates and gave us the motivation to help.
Aside from that, the best thing that we can do for all Rizaleรฑos is to Plant Trees. The Incident that happened to our city is a black swan. I've been a resident in the for almost 20 years and I haven't seen that tragedy and I wish that this initiative will helps a lot, even by simply spreading awareness.
So yeah, last Saturday (September 28, 2024) SOHS planted trees successfully by the help of all volunteers and local government units.
Proudly to say that we planted 200 seedlings in ๐๐ซ๐ ๐ฒ. ๐๐๐๐๐๐ฎ๐, ๐๐จ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ ๐ฎ๐๐ณ (๐๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐๐ฅ๐๐๐ง), ๐๐ข๐ณ๐๐ฅ together with Global Dominion and Barangay officials.
We focused on fruit-bearing plants because the planting area is just beside the road and the residents' house so when it grows in the future the residents will be able to harvest those fruits.
The seedlings include; (Mango tree, Santol, Rambutan, Avocado, Langka, and Papaya)
Those seedlings are very useful for residents they can eat them or sell them once harvested and that's our main goal.
MENRO provides a vehicle for the seedlings cause we can no longer fit it in our Vans, kudos to them for their initiative.
Sharing some photos during the event:
A special thanks to Barangay officials for allowing us to use their covered court it helps us to rest and sheltered the volunteers amidst of the hot weather.
Those smiles motivate us to do more and continue our advocacy this is not the last event we're aiming for more trees to plant, it takes time to grow so the best time to plant is now. I don't know what awaits us, but I am looking forward for more stronger bonds within the organization, we've got a long way to go but together we will make it.
For the next months, we are planning to focus on orphanage visits and a donation drives in fact, we already listed institutions to visit and I hope you come and join us If you have spare time and are interested don't hesitate to message us on our FB page believe me helping those in needs is satisfying :)
So That's all for me, thank you for reading :)
Mooon out! ๐ค
