Hi there my fellow Hivers!
It's been a while since my last visit to Hive, I've been busy with many things lately, my personal life, career, hobbies, and volunteering activities.
Some of you hate the Rainy Season but for us volunteers, this is our most awaited season to plant more trees and give back to Mother Nature.
Yeah, we all know that rain can cause massive destruction sometimes especially typhoons, however, to fight against that kind of calamity we need to act and this simple step will be a huge help.
After a month, of planning and ocular visits, my fellow core leaders and I decided to conduct our Tree Planting in Tanay, Rizal still a part of Sierra Madre.
We finalized the date, the place, and the seedlings we will plant.
We successfully planted 300 seedlings in Brgy. Sto. Niño Tanay, Rizal last June 29, 2024 (Saturday)
Narra (100 seedlings), Duhat (50 seedlings), Guyabano ( 50 seedlings), Molave (50 seedlings) and Lanete 50 seedlings).
Together with 78 volunteers from different areas of Rizal, NCR, and with the help of MENRO.
Our van was assigned to get the seedlings from DENR and It's a little bit of a struggle cause we don't have enough space glad that the volunteers are willing to help and keep the seedlings with them until we reach the planting area.
We managed to get all the seedlings and now we need to carry them all.
We gathered everyone for the short briefing and the procedure while planting trees and the MENRO took the initiative and helped us to get all the seedlings using their truck.
When we finished the short briefing we started moving to the planting area.
The exciting part is we need to cross along the river and climb up to reach the area.
Nature is truly amazing!
Each volunteer has to bring their seedlings to make sure all seedlings will be planted and no seedlings will be left out and go to waste.
They can now proceed and start the planting, but still they need to climb up, so challenging right? That's the good part! LOL
I got myself a seedlings as well.
Here are some photos of our volunteers
Some of them are new volunteers, a kid, a mom, a professional doctor, a priest, lawyers, and teachers but all of them joined forces in one advocacy and that is to protect the Sierra Madre and give more love to Mother Earth :)
We have another upcoming tree planting event this 27th of July and I hope that you will join us!
