Good day hivers! It's me @marie.creates. How have you been? How did you spend your long weekend? Good thing for me, I get to spend it with the people I love and of course go to the city to explore and relax.
This happens rarely especially in my job as a teacher so I need to do things that I love and makes me happy.
I can't wait to share with you my trip to Cebu City and come with me as I explore one of the most famous and extravagant malls in the city.

Yes, you got it right! It's the famous SM Seaside City Cebu.
Did you know what the big cube in front of the mall means? It's a sculptural piece made of steel. It symbolizes strength and stability just like how resilient Filipino people in general. This piece is what makes this mall unique from the other. Aside from it, the architectural design of the place makes you in awe. Its shape is the same as 'a big ship' that's why at first glance, you will feel amazed and be inspired by the people behind this amazing creation.
It was late in the morning when my boyfriend and I went here because he wanted to buy a pair of shoes that matches his outfit for his Manila trip. And as a supportive girlfriend and an adventurous one, I said yes right away.
When we were inside the mall, I couldn't help but look around. It was so big and you could see a lot of people not just Filipinos but also foreigners busy shopping.
Indeed, a great place to visit.
We just roamed around for five minutes and we went directly to the place where he wanted to go
This was the store where he wanted to buy his pair of shoes. Everything here is branded and I couldn't help but be inspired to work harder to treat myself to an expensive item even just once. And he got his choice ( with my suggestion of course). He asked me to take a picture of him as remembrance of himself for buying this pair of shoes he saved for almost four months. I can't help but smile because to be honest, he deserved it.
We felt hungry so we decided to eat. We wanted hot soup and something that is not oily so we decided to eat in the food court. We ordered food that suits our taste. (The giniling is a kind of oily but I wanted to try it). We paired it with a fresh fruit shake.
I just want to share. This is the view of the place where we ate from the top. Oh! I love the green. It looks vibrant but it is not yet open to the public because they are still improving the place.
After eating, we went to the rooftop of the building where you could see the overlooking City. This place is amazing. Just watching kids play makes me happy. Other families are having picnics too while some lovers are having their quality time. I just took a lot of pictures in the area.
We continued our window shopping and we stopped in this store "H&M" because they were on sale. And he bought something for himself because he said he deserved it, again😅.
While he was in the fitting room, I saw this interesting quote. Well it's true, if you like it and it makes you happy, then forget the rules and buy it. And this is what he did. By the way, it's his own money that he spent and he said his giving himself an early Christmas gift.
After this, he suggested an ice cream stall that is affordable yet tasty since he knew that I love ice cream so much. It's very popular ice cream in the mall so when we went to the area, people are in queue just to buy this ice cream. And it's getting late so maybe we could buy this ice cream next time.
It was evident that its almost Christmas since you could see Christmas tree and lights in the area. People are busy taking pictures in this Instagrammable corner in the mall.
