I recently attended the baptism of my godchild, Baby Kara, in Santander. By 7am, the event started with a seminar for the godparents which was facilitated by the church leaders. She talked about the importance of the role of godparents in the child's life as they are the 2nd parent next to the biological parents.

After the brief seminar, we then head to the church for the mass and baptism. Since it was a Sunday, there were many people attending the mass aside from the baptism event.

Its my first time being a god parent and i can now imagine being a spoiler tita/ninang (auntie) when she grows up. Truth is, i love dressing up kids and if someday i'll have my own baby girl, I will surely expose her to all the girl stuffs i've never experience as a kid. I want her to try ballet dancing, modeling, or even join pageantry.

We then head to my friend's house for the celebratory lunch. It was a simple celebration filled with love and laughter for baby Kara. The best part is there's lechon (roasted pig).

Having a child is such a big responsibility, let alone carrying them for 9 months in their mother's womb. My huge respect to my friend who is now a mother because i can see how much sacrifice she has made for her family and it's never easy raising a child barely on her own. Salute to all mothers and parents out there as well.

We ended the celebration by going to the beach which is just adjacent to the house. More on this on my next blog.

That's it for today's blog. See you in my next one!

Sending some love and light

Love, Jane
