Homemade Springy and Bouncy Toy for Blu the Kitten

As it was pouring rain outside, I decided to stay in and organize bits and pieces in my drawers.

While doing so, I found a tangled wire and thought about making a toy for Blu, the kitten. He really entertained us, so I didn't mind spending a little time making something for him, especially since toys play an important role in a kitten's development.

First, I took the wire I found and wound it around a pencil to create a spring.

After pulling it off the pencil, I had a lovely spiral springy shape.

Blu immediately noticed it and jumped in, so I thought, "This is good."

To prevent it from scratching the kitty, I secured both sharp ends.

The spring could be left straight, bouncing and wiggling like a worm, enticing the cat.

Alternatively, I could push both ends together and give it a little twist to create a round shape.

The round shape was also wiggly but not as bouncy as the straight one.

I gathered small plush toys, bells, a crunchy chocolate wrapper, and pieces of yarn

and attached them securely to the spring.

Then I showed the new toy to Blu, the baby kitty. His eyes lit up with excitement!

Blu started to play with the toy immediately.

He does funny moves.

He loved it!

He loved how it bounced and moved as if it were alive.

I also attached it to a stick; he played with it for a long time.

Which was entertaining to watch.

Then he played with it by himself, making it move.

He drags it around.

Eventually, Blu got tired and fell asleep with his new toy.

Happy Caturday to everyone,
