Greetings Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!

We're coming down towards the end of the month of October and today we celebrate the final Caturday of this month!

As you well know by now, Caturday is my favorite day of the week... that day when we all get to celebrate cats online with pictures of cats!

Of course we continue to have lots of cat activities around here because Shangri and Nala offer up such good photographic material.

In the last week or so Shadow and Nala really seemed to have bonded.

That is to say, Nala seems to be almost stalking Shadow, and wherever he goes there she is... often climbing into his bed or on top of wherever he's laying, trying to get his nap. Shadow doesn't seem to mind too much, and we think he really enjoys the closeness of another cat after having been "single cat" for a long time.

Brother Shangri is not too bothered by the situation and seems to spend a lot of time examining what the Dad-Hooman is doing with his work.

A nice quiet routine in the house seems to have settled in, and the kittens — who are now "young cats" — are enjoying their new lives with us here... so far removed from being orphans in a noisy animal shelter.

The Hoomans say that they have had many many cats in their lives over the years and these two are definitely two of the most sweet natured cats we have had in our world!

They seem to have completely gotten over their initial skittishness except for an occasional sudden loud noise now and then and... they're both extremely affectionate as cats go.

The sheepskin on our old bench is a favorite napping spot!

All three cats now sleep together at the foot of the Hoomans' bed, and the Mom-Hooman — who is the one who watches the most television — often has two cats in her lap.

Nobody seems to mind the arrangement too much!

Our old Smudge only interacts with the kittens occasionally. She's definitely the "Old Lady Cat" of the household, and is just not into kittenish games anymore.

But everyone still gets along just fine!

Well, it seems that "crazy kitty hour" has started, with lots of fast running through the house! Time to get back to that!
