Tizana Ice Cream
Venezuela, like any other country, has an extensive and complex gastronomy, with particular elements and many other imported ones that, when mixed with the customs of our people, were transformed to give way to unique and autochthonous preparations. It is in this way that a very popular preparation called Tizana arises, which consists of chopping numerous fruits into squares, and then mixing them together using patilla, orange or tangerine juice, always with the sweet and reddish contribution of grenadine syrup, which results in a kind of fruit cocktail that is characterized by having multiple flavors, diverse textures and at the same time being refreshing and appetizing.
The tisane can be found in any place in the Venezuelan geography, from the finest restaurants to the most popular stalls located in municipal markets or on the street. But undoubtedly the most interesting evolution of this traditional preparation is to turn it into ice cream, since it is a true delicacy, which is unique and tremendously tasty.

Helado de Tizana
Venezuela, como cualquier otro país, tiene extensa y compleja gastronomía, con elementos particulares y muchos otros importados que al mezclarse con las costumbres propias de nuestro gentilicio se transformaron para darle paso a preparaciones únicas y autóctonas. Es de esta forma como surge una preparación muy popular denominada como Tizana, la cual consiste en picar en cuadritos numerosas frutas, para luego mezclarlas entre sí utilizando jugo de patilla, naranja o mandarina, siempre con el aporte dulce y rojizo del Jarabe de granadina, lo cual da como resultado una especie de cóctel de frutas que se caracteriza multi por poseer múltiples sabores, diversas con texturas y al mismo tiempo ser refrescante y apetitoso.
La tisana se puede encontrar en cualquier espacio de la geografía venezolana, desde los más finos restaurantes, hasta puestos más populares ubicados en mercados municipales u orilla de calle. Pero sin duda alguna la evolución más interesante de esta preparación tradicional es convertirla en helado, ya que contextura nos encontramos con un verdadero manjar, el cual es único y tremendamente sabroso.

Today I had to leave early for several community meetings, which were intended to solve some problems that affect us all, between each conversation the hours passed and by midday hunger began to lurk like an invisible but present ghost. El día de hoy me tocó salir desde temprano a varias reuniones comunitarias, las cuales tenían como finalidad resolver algunos problemas que nos afectan a todos, entre cada conversación las horas fueron pasando y ya sobre las horas del mediodía el hambre comenzaba a acechar como un fantasma invisible pero presente. En vista de esa situación, una compañera decidió apartar un pequeño lote de su producción de helados para donarnos algunos cuantos y así poder mitigar la fatiga y al mismo tiempo refrescarnos en una mañana que llegó a los 38 grados centígrados.

Los helados de tisana elaborados de manera tradicional los encontraremos comúnmente en vasitos de plástico, los cuales son la manera más eficiente de poderlos consumir, ya que en estas zonas de intenso calor los helados suelen derretirse con bastante facilidad y resulta algo molesto tener que perder parte de él a medida que vamos caminando, es por ello que los vasitos resultan tremendamente útiles, puesto que no se pierde en ningún momento nada del helado y al mismo tiempo los podemos trasladar de un lugar a otro con mayor facilidad y con la seguridad de que los podemos volver a meter en el congelador minutos tendremos la textura que tanto nos gusta.
