Some years ago a mural was painted in my city, on Tulio Febres Cordero Avenue, one of the most important avenues in Merida, Venezuela, this mural deteriorated over time and until a couple of weeks ago, it could hardly be seen. Yesterday I went shopping with my little one and we passed by this avenue and to my pleasant surprise it was rehabilitated.
Today I want to share it with you, with its fresh and vibrant colors that make a beautiful contrast, between flowers, waves and colorful curves, there are several characters, including John Lennon, rock icon, another Venezuelan singer-songwriter, Ali Primera, who I think is Mahatma Gandhi and another that is totally unknown to me. I do not know the author of this work, but it is part of a restoration project that currently exists in the city.
I don't really understand some of the symbols, but I really like the colors they used, their shapes and how they fill this wall with life. I like that in the lower part they drew several people admiring the main characters, as if they were, I don't know, maybe, at a concert.
This is my entry to the contest: CCC's Street Art Contest #151, which I invite you to join, so we know all those fantastic murals from around the world.
It was a pleasure to share with you this magnificent expression of art, I hope to continue sharing, more of the urban art of my city.
