For the CCC's Street Art Contest #208 organized by @digi-me, I present a new mural done during the last edition of the Mural Festival in Montreal. This mural was created by Jamie Janx Johnston with a beautiful initiative highlighting the importance of suicide prevention.

Pour le CCC's Street Art Contest #208 organisé par @digi-me, je vous propose une nouvelle murale faite durant la dernière édition du Mural Festival à Montréal. Cette murale a été réalisée par Jamie Janx Johnston avec une très belle initiative soulignant l'importance de la prévention du suicide.

On Marie-Anne street at the corner with boulevard Saint Laurent, close to Parc du Portugal in Montreal. Lots of StreetArt on this corner, with on the opposite wall Awie and his tribute to Aristides de Sousa Mendes and on the other side of the boulevard Danaé Brissonnet and her monster (see StreetArt #525).

Sur la rue Marie-Anne au coin avec le boulevard Saint Laurent, tout près du Parc du Portugal à Montréal. Beaucoup de StreetArt à ce coin de rue, avec sur le mur opposé Awie et son hommage à Aristides de Sousa Mendes puis de l'autre côté du boulevard Danaé Brissonnet et son monstre (voir StreetArt #525).

Jamie Janx Johnston

Jamie Janx Johnston is a photographer and artist. He enjoys passing on his passion for art as an art educator. He often works with the Station16 gallery. His work often begins with a photo and then the use of stencils to superimpose the elements. The result is always interesting, as this wall proves.

Jamie Janx Johnston est un photographe et artiste. Il aime transmettre sa passion pour l'art comme éducateur artistique. Il travaille souvent avec la galerie Station16. Son travail commence souvent par une photo puis l'utilisation de pochoirs pour superposer les éléments. Le résultat est toujours intéressant comme le prouve encore ce mur.

This mural, entitled Resilience, was created with a group of men who took part in a suicide prevention workshop, les Courag_eux (Courageous). The blue jay represents communication, resilience and trust. And the forearm is "tattooed" with words used during the workshop. Above the QR codes are links to reference works on the subject. A great initiative...

Cette murale, intitulée Résilience a été réalisée avec un groupe d'hommes qui ont participé à un atelier sur la prévention au suicide, les Courag_eux. Le geai bleu représente la communication, la résilience et la confiance. Et l'avant-bras est "tatoué" de mots utilisé pendant cet atelier. Au dessus les QR codes sont des liens vers des ouvrages de référence à ce sujet. Très belle initiative...
