The Towerground is one of the most opulent go-to dining places in Tagaytay that not only offers fascinating cuisine, but also an exquisite view of the Taal Volcano. The place offers a lot of fresh breeze straight from nature and also photograph-friendly spaces that are straight out of a movie. The area is pretty escalated so there are lower and higher areas which make the place all the more interesting and captivating.
The gates leading toward this mind-blowing restaurant covers a large space filled with succulent plants and a whole lot of other varieties. The place is known for its bulalo (beef stew) so of course we had to get one of those. There are over 20 people in our clan, so we had to connect lots of tables and chairs. My cousins and I had our separate tables from the elders and we had a really great time, not to mention, the food was beyond amazing. Afterwards, We took loads of shots (family photos, individuals, candids, take your pic because they even did drone shots). I'd certainly call these visits one of a kind, so I'd love to come back here anytime soon.
Skyranch ๐ก
Hand on tight! And up we go! Or wait... Maybe down and sidewards too?
The Skyranch is one of the most well-known and progressive amusement parks here in the Philippines. Almost more than a thousand tourists com visit here everyday to enjoy the thrill and adrenaline of getting on either very tall and risky rides, or bumpy and calm ones too (for those who easily get overwhelmed). This was our last stop before we got home and we made sure to take our sweet time there for sure.
Due to the amount of people that were there, just for the entrance alone, we literally had to wait out in the line to get our entrance fee tickets which where different from the ride tickets. It took us almost and hour before we got in, and we were greeted with tons of stalls, as expected. A corndog stall caught our attention so immediately, we didn't wanna miss out on those amazing treats. Afterwards, we headed towards a booth that required our shooting skills and well, I suck at those games so my cousin was the one who did it and he ended up getting a humongous panda ball that was twice his size and he eventually gave it away to a kid. To not waste anymore time, we immediately split up and planned to get the tickets right away. As per usual, the long line was holding our excitement back as we heard people, left to right, top to bottom, screaming on top of their lungs and having the time of their lives. My bucket list consisted of riding on rollercoasters, ziplining, riding the ferris wheel, and maybe do a bit of roaming around booths and winning prizes. I have never done any of those things before so I was really thrilled to give it a try. And note: I have a really great fear of heights or large things, so this wasn't an easy task for me. I wanted to face my fears and this was a great opportunity to do so.
After what felt like 2 hours (it was like 11ish), we only had AN HOUR to spend for rides since we'd stay there only till 1pm. We took the unlimited rides ticket worth 350 pesos and gosh, I remember running so fast to get to the first roller coaster ride just so I could enjoy the amount of time we had left. As we got onto our first ride, all I could feel was sheer excitement. We started with the easy-going one and the ride wasn't that scary since it just went through a good pace and the coaster wasn't as high as I thought it would be, so we were off to a good start.
Ensuing the rollercoaster ride which lasted for about 5 minutes (I think), we tried going on those spiral-y rides that looked like carrousels with a much more challenging twist to it. However, the much more nerve-wrecking rides like the tallest ride there, the one that brings you up and down constantly while at your seat, gave me lots of goosebumps. The people there were literally screaming at an all time high like they were begging for their lives. if I'm not mistaken, I even saw a girl that fainted there (I hope she's okay). Just as we were about to head to our next ride, My eyes landed across the vikings station. Vikings is like the ride where there's a large ship rocking you back and forth at a very high speed. Many people have already attested to saying that vikings are one of the rides that would completely obliterate you, but I felt confident to give it a try (it didn't seem that bad). My older cousins and my elder sister who were with me at the time, tried to talk it out with me if I was certain I'd be able to carry on riding THAT THING. And me being the stubborn person I am, I kept saying yes although i swear my heart was telling me not to go there. Anyway, we did end up going. But it was just me and my sister. they just decided to stay back and film us on the sides.

So uh. To give you context, my sister and I ended up cutting our bucket list short after the ride because we nearly fainted afterward. I couldn't handle the feeling of my organs leaping every time the ship went higher up and I'd feel sick to my stomach. During the whole ride, I'd keep clutching onto the bar that supported our weight and my mind was begging me to tell the operator to stop the whole thing but all I could do was reach out for my sisters hand and she'd tell me to hold on and we'd get off together pretty much well and alive although i could tell she was losing her guts at that point. When we got off the ship, my sister and I's legs were so wobbly, our cousins had to help us walk. While I was having a major headache, my sister threw up on the ground (I can't remember how many times) and I swear I saw her mouth turn blue. So yeah, it wasn't the best decision because we had to watch the rest of our cousins go ziplining while I was trying so hard not to scratch what was remaining of my body because I felt my whole existence just go numb within those 15 minutes of vikings. Luckily, we were tended to by our relatives and they helped us even though I made such a dump decision of pushing through with riding.
In conclusion, we went back to Manila and ate lunch on the way home with severe headaches and shallow throats. What an experience!
