These are what I learnt from the Mass Indoctrination, below is the video comment,
The right manner of Praying
We should pray with no vain repetition, and we should pray to God alone. The Catholics pray to Mary the Creation of God rather God. This is very wrong.
Prayer is requesting from God or a petition unto God.
Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
When should we pray?
We should pray often, day and nights without ceasing. When we wake up in the morning before doing anything and when we want to sleep at night we should always pray to God and thank Him.
1 Thessalonians 5:17 Pray without ceasing.
How can we be sure that our prayers are heard by God?
God heareth a pure heart's prayer. To put it simple, if one harbours evil in his heart, God will not hear him. God doesn't listen to anyone who prays with a filthy heart, O before you pray to God make sure you have a pure heart.
2 Timothy 2:22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
The heart is the centre of all thoughts be it evil or good ones.
Even as married couple you must clear any misunderstanding between you and your patner before praying. God commanded Husbands to honour their wives and treat them with care for they are weaker vessels. By so doing, your prayers will not be hindered.
Matthew 15:19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies.
1 Peter 3:7 Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.
How to have a pure heart:
For God to hear us we need to clean our heart with the word of God. And for the word of God to cleanse you, you must allow it enter and germinate in your heart.
The purification is in the obedience to the word of God, the truth we have to obey is the word of God. Let us depart from iniquities before praying for our hearts to be purified.
Ephesians 4:31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice.
1 Peter 1:22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:
2 Timothy 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
Shalom!
