Shades, Patterns & Such on the Ramps

Four days evenings ago, I was out the hallway leading to the ramps with no particular intention (just wanted to walk for a while) and on arriving there, some cool shadows caught my eye and I cannot say no to them so a wee shadow hunting happened.

It started by the bench at the end of the corridor.

Then to the ramps going down. The railings cast fascinating shadows on the sloping floor. Some have doubled (various sources of lights) creating crisscross patterns.

I was just halfway the ramp toward the 5th floor when I went back, venturing into the upper level, catching more shadows.

I was trying to photograph both the shadows of the railings on the floor and their reflections on the mirror but was not successful. At least I got this.

I walked further up where I saw and photographed the plant shadows on the wall. The lighting in that corner was not sufficient. I do like the elongated shadows of the plant on the wall and on the plant pot.

I wished this shot was clearer as my own shadow was on it (a self-reminder to view my shots soon after they are taken😁)

Coincidentally, the photo on this frame had a shadow in it which I didn't realize until I was editing.

Anyway, I did not go any further as it felt a bit eerie there with the dim lighting and cold air. I quickly traced my steps back to Mom's room which had high windows so we can't see a thing outside.

We requested to transfer to another PR with a view and thankfully, one was available so we moved that evening.

This pic was taken today. The storm is raging outside and the gusts are felt even when all the windows were tightly shut.

Kong-Rey (Leon) arrived last night and has been lashing out on various places including ours. I hope it won't stay long as it appears destructive.

Take care and have a safe day everyone!
