Greetings friends of Hive and the Architecture+Design community . Since two years ago my family is in Medellin, they came from Venezuela and in Colombia they have attended several health problems of my younger brother which is difficult in Venezuela. There are several clinics where he is treated and one of them is the IPS Universetaria Adventista. It would be better if I first clarify what IPS means, these acronyms stand for Instituto Prestador de Salud which operates from the UNAC, Universidad Adventista de Colombia and the prices are economical compared to other clinics. It is a good service for those who study and work at UNAC and for anyone who wants to go, that is for the general public and that is why we went to IPS Universitaria Adventista.
Saludos amigos de Hive y de la comunidad Architecture+Design. Desde hace dos años mi familia está en Medellín, ellos vinieron desde Venezuela y en Colombia se ha atendido varios problemas de salud de mi hermano menor cosa que es difícil en Venezuela. Son varias clínicas donde lo atienden y una de ellas es la IPS Universetaria Adventista. Será mejor que primero aclare que significa IPS, estas siglas quieren decir Instituto Prestador de Salud que funciona desde la UNAC, Universidad Adventista de Colombia y los precios son económicos en comparación con otras clínicas. Es un buen servicio para los que estudian y trabajan en la UNAC y para todo el que quiera ir, osea para el público en general y por eso es que fuimos a la IPS Universitaria Adventista.
From the entrance the clinic is already very nice and I am a person who does not like to go to hospitals but well, there are some that inspire confidence as this small private clinic of mixed architectural style between classic and modern that has a lot of green space on the outside. I like that :)
Desde la entrada ya es muy agradable la clínica y soy una persona que no le gusta ir a hospitales pero bueno, hay unos que inspiran confianza como esta pequeña clínica privada de estilo arquitectónico mezclado entré clásico y moderno que tiene mucho espacio verde en su exterior. Eso me gusta :)
On the main façade there is an advertising tower on a concrete and gravel base in the middle of the garden. There you can read the names of the medical services provided by IPS Universitaria Adventista. I'm going to name them in case you are in Medellin or if you come and need a medical consultation, then I'll advertise for free :) Well there are several services, there are consultations of general medicine, internal medicine, gynecology, pediatrics, clinical laboratory, general dentistry, orthodontics, psychology, nutrition and dietetics, nursing and vaccination. I don't want to know about vaccines :)
Again looking at the exterior façade, nature in this style of building is a key point because it embellishes the design and makes people feel at ease in the IPS Univesitaria Adventista. The combination of plants, flowers and sunlight are perfect natural resources and the detail of the ground with gravel and terracotta on the floors are also perfect building elements in this classic style clinic with an antique and homey look on the outside.
En la fachada principal se ve una torre publicitaria sobre una base de concreto y gravilla en medio del jardín. Ahí se puede leer los nombres de los servicios médicos que presta la IPS Universitaria Adventista. Voy a nombrarlas por si estas en Medellín o por si vienes y necesitas una consula médica, entonces le hago publicidad gratis :) Bueno hay varios servicios, están las consultas de medicina general, medicina interna, ginecología, pediatría, Laboratorio clínico, odontología general, ortoddoncia, psicología, nutrición y diétetica, enfermería y vacunación. Yo no queiro saber de vacunas :)
De nuevo mirando la fachada exterior, la naturaleza en este estilo de edificios es punto clave porque embellecen el diseño y hacen sentir a gusto a las personas que están en la IPS Univesitaria Adventista. La combinación entre las plantas, las flores y la luz solar son recursos naturales perfectos y el detalle del suelo con gravilla y terracota en los pisos también son elementos de construcción perfectos en esta clínica de estilo clásico con aspecto antiguo y hogareño en su exterior.
Upon entering we find a minimalist style with a predominance of white combined with gray, black and blue without forgetting the plants as one of the fundamental elements in this type of style. I like its simplicity and functionality, the use of light colors and the use of large windows is excellent for energy saving, since its characteristics offer the possibility of making the most of sunlight.
Al entrar nos encontramos con un estilo minimalista predominando el blanco combinado con gris, negro y azul sin olvidar las plantas como uno de los elementos fundamentales en este tipo de estilos. Me gusta su sencillez y funcionalidad, el uso de colores claros y el uso de grandes ventanales es excelente para el ahorro energético, ya que sus características le ofrecen la posibilidad de aprovechar al máximo la luz solar.
At IPS Universitaria Adventista there is an atmosphere of order and simple elegance. Everything is perfect, very clean, no noise, the silence stands out because there are few patients, the employees are respectful and speak with a decent volume :) You can see that this clinic apart from treating patients preaches a very healthy lifestyle and on the wall there is a billboard promoting good habits.
En la IPS Universitaria Adventista hay un ambiente de orden y elegancia sencilla. Todo es perfecto, muy limpio, sin ruidos, el silencio sobresale porque hay pocos pacientes, los empleados son respetuosos y hablan con un volúmen decente :) Se ve que esta clínica aparte de atender enfermos predica un sistema de vida muy saludable y en la pared hay una valla que promociona buenos hábitos.
For a small clinic I see that the space is well used, there are corridors that lead to the medical offices and all departments, I like the distribution implemented in this place. I think it is excellent, without overload of elements in the decoration, only those necessary to provide a comfortable and pleasant service for patients.
Para ser una clínica pequeña veo que el espacio está bien aprovechado, hay pasillos que llevan a los consultorios médicos y a todos los departamentos, me gusta la distribución implementada en este lugar. Creo que es excelente, sin recargos de elementos en la decoración, solo los necesarios para prestar un servicio comodo y agradable para los pacientes.
This small clinic has another positive point and that is that there are more ramps than stairs so people with disabilities feel privileged in these white spaces :)
Esta pequeña clínica tiene otro punto positivo y es que hay más rampas que escaleras por eso las personas con discapacidad se sienten con privilegios en estos espacios blancos :)
The tour of the clinic serves to see the practical style that lies between the avant-garde and the traditional, it is amazing to me even if it seems silly. Well, I appreciate places from their architecture and what they offer, for example a good ambiance that is achieved with elements that convey a comfortable and simple yet modern atmosphere. I like to find numerous architectural styles, there are even some that can be mixed as in the Adventist University IPS.
El recorrido por la clínica sirve para ver el estilo práctico que se encuentra entre lo vanguardista y lo tradicional, es asombroso para mí aunque parezca una tontería. Bueno, yo aprecio los lugares desde su arquitectura y lo que ofrecen, por ejemplo un buen ambiente que se consigue con elementos que transmiten un ambiente cómodo y sencillo pero a la vez moderno. Me gusta encontrar numerosos estilos arquitectónicos, incluso hay algunos que se pueden mezclar como en la IPS Universitaria Adventista.
