Purpose and Passion.

Holla guys.

Purpose and passion are said to be closely connected parts of the fulfilling life, and still, they are different things.

PURPOSE

Therefore, purpose can be simply understood as the ability to define oneself and one’s objectives in a larger system. It is accompanied by a feeling that one is chosen for something and that one’s goal is more than its self-interest. This can be to a profession, a cause or values that one holds or believes in and hence will stand for in their actions and undertakings. Having purpose has the roles of a map or an compass that directs a person through the different tasks and conflicts in life. Purpose not only defines the direction of one's career, however it also defines their actions each day. Finding out one’s purpose means self-reflection or a certain eagerness to dig deep into the self’s potential interests or drives.

PASSION
Passion is the level of energy that a person has for carrying out certain activities or having certain interest. It is the fire which lights the bulb of desire and drives the person towards his goal with enthusiasm and passion. Desire is best expressed through the pursuit of fun tasks or hobbies that apply to one’s current job or other projects.

While, purpose is much closer to the motive or a reason for involvement, passion concerns more of the ‘how’ and ‘what’ of participation. Being what motivates people or provides incentive it magnifies and gives the ability to push through and seek goals with enjoyment. For instance, as a teacher and driver, I am passionate about what I do and this makes me work so hard and think creatively even in a highly competitive field and because I have passion for the things I do I love and enjoy it

PURPOSE AND PASSION

Purpose and passion are two very different things but when they cross paths an explosive like substance is formed. In a given case where an individual has passion on what he/she is doing and at the same time, he/she feels that what he/she is doing is part of purposeful living, then there is a sense of happiness and enriching experience.

For example, a teacher that loves teaching and feels that teaching can change the lives of people will feel that their work is very fulfilling. You will find that their love for teaching keeps them enthusiastic about their part in education, and this desire makes them work towards making a difference in the student’s lives.
On the other hand, when the purpose and passion are not aligning the person involved will feel everything is a waste of time. When an individual finds himself or herself in an activity that does not in any way relate to his/her goals and objectives in life, then he or she may feel frustrated or a person without aim.

Though purpose and passion are just two different concept, there's just this clear connection between these two. Purpose gives direction and then passion drives.
