Hello, my dear Hivers! Here I am again for another blog content. How's your week been? I hope everyone is doing great. As I always reiterate, practice self-care and always choose yourself. If your body signals you to take some rest, then do it. Whatever you are rushing to do, just drop everything—the world can wait for you. By the way, the blog that I am going to share today is all about my specific day happenings as a marketing student processing my enrollment for the next semester. Should we get started?
My morning view as I flagged down a jeepney going to school.
In the Philippines, one of the students' most hated enemies is traffic. I know it's something that we can't completely solve as the common belief suggests that the more congested the road is the more it indicates that a country is in a state of development. So, citizens learned to adjust and encountering heavy traffic in the Philippines is no longer new to us. For students like me, to arrive on time at school I usually left the house 2 hours before my class starts. Since I had to board a jeepney twice, I really have to be an early bird. First jeepney ride would last 30-40 minutes and then another jeepney ride for 25-30 minutes. Isn't it tiring? But it's okay, Im already getting used to it.
Off to my second jeepney ride.
The street was still peaceful at the time when I arrived. You can spot less busy people, bakeries, small stores that opened to cater morning customers. I just love to witness these occurrences as I make my way to school.
At last I arrived! It was still early in the morning. If my memory serves me right it was still around 7: 00 am and only a few students still arrived. I was also greeted warmly by the university cats. They are the cutest.
And just like that...the enrollment kicked off:
The fourth photo is my ever- gorgeous classmate @jeannmazing. She's patiently waiting for her turn to be enrolled too.
As the time progressed, an influx of students arrived as they had to make it to the enrollment cut off. By the way, the enrollment started at 9: 00 am and ended at 11: 00 am. The time schedule was only for BSBA-Day and the afternoon schedule would be for another batch.
At last... We're done! We were able to finally detach ourselves from the crowd of enrollees. To help us relax a little bit, Me and my classmates occupied the vacant room and stayed there for a while. Some sort of time designated for using our mobile phones.
It's Lunch time!
Me and my buddies decided to eat at the nearest Carinderia. For context, Carinderia in the Philippines is a food stall with a small seating area that is likely predominant in a market or at a roadside. Its specialties are home-cooked meals for working Filipinos or for those students who are on a tight budget to dine in at expensive restaurants. A typical Carinderia is not air-conditioned—it's just simple. But the food it sells is usually good and is very affordable.
After we had our launch, we headed to Ayala Center Cebu. Our main agenda to go there was not for shopping but something to do with our Internship. We just had to inquire about something. We actually had a little hard time to find where we should find the person we were looking for but still, we didn't fail in the end. One thing I really learned is don't be afraid to ask. It might overwhelm you with a feeling of shyness or awkwardness, but would you trade that to become lost by deciding to keep mum the whole time? The decision is yours....
Anyway, after we settled our agenda. Me and by buddies decided that it's time to head home.
Let me leave this group selfie as a way to cap off my day. Despite the early agendas and academic demands as students —we always make it a point to end our day with a smile.
That's what I've got for today, my dear Hivers! I hope you all have a blast reading my blog. Until next time!
