Cards From My Personal Collection: Bobby Higginson 2003 Donruss Baseball Card

Bobby Higginson is a player I never thought twice of, despite his card just chilling in my collection for ages. Once again, my arrogance made me think since I never heard of him, he must stink.

Higginson did not stink, but the Tigers sure did while he was there from 1995-2005. Since the Tigers stunk so bad, Higginson is pretty forgotten, he was a good fielder and had some very good seasons, but never won a single award. He was named 'Tiger of the Year' twice at least.

In 1996 Higginson had a .320 batting average and 26 homeruns. He hit four home runs in four consecutive at-bats in 1997. This guy was pretty legit, I actually respect the fact that he played for just one single team in his career.

Higginson was a pretty healthy player throughout his career as well. From 1995-2004 Higginson averaged 135 games per season.

The man's numbers are as legit as it gets. His career high for homers was 30 in 2000 and he surpassed 100 RBIs twice in his career.

Bobby Higginson recorded 1,336 hits, 187 homeruns, 709 RBIs maintained a .272 batting average and even stole 91 bases in his career.

Pretty nice low-key career Higginson had!
