I know there are a few of us using Unreal Engine for our games here. Epic is hosting a game jam soon. It has some pretty awesome prizes but also some of the partners and such are giving away free stuff for the event. So I thought I'd share this for those that may not have seen it.
If you plan to participate, it starts in 11 days and you can sign up at itch.io, here. They are going to reveal the theme in a live stream that day but otherwise you can start preparing now. They have a Learning Path on their tutorial site that might help get started. Or just in general you can start brainstorming ideas now and sign up for the jam.
For those that do not use Unreal and do not have interest in the game jam, there are links on the itch.io link above to free assets! As far as I can tell, and I am no lawyer, there are some pretty basic free licenses. Though they seem different on each.
For example there is the BOOM Game Pack. It has free sound effects that could be useful to anyone. And Reallusion seem to have some animations for people to use.
Not sure I will take time out of working on Titan Climber to join since my time is really limited lately but if I can think of anything that might tie in, it is very tempting. Anyone else thinking of joining?
