Every week I dedicate a few hours to making a collage or some photo manipulation to acquire new skills and perfect the ones I already have.

Mientras esperamos a que vuelvan los retos, es tiempo de ponernos creativos y seguir mejorando nuestras habilidades y el uso de las herramientas de edición. Cada semana dedico unas horas a hacer algún collage o alguna manipulación fotográfica para adquirir nuevas habilidades y perfeccionar las ya adquiridas.
This week I wanted to create a kind of collage scene that had a mysterious atmosphere, like an old detective movie but with a supernatural touch. The idea came after browsing Pixabay for a while and finding a photograph of a tower that caused me a lot of mystery. I got to work and the first thing was to detail how I could make it even more mysterious.
Esta semana quise hacer una especie de escena collage que tuviese una atmósfera misteriosa, así como la de una vieja película de detectives pero con un toque sobrenatural. La idea vino después de estar navegando un rato en Pixabay y encontrar una fotografía de una torre que me causó mucho misterio. Me puse manos a la obra y lo primero fue detallar cómo podría hacerla más misteriosa aún.
I thought about adding aliens or shadows of ghostly monsters, but then I remembered a phrase I commented on in a post that day: the truly supernatural is in simple and beautiful things. And without a doubt, there is no better example of the beauty of nature than a butterfly. After a few adjustments, I achieved a mysterious image of a giant butterfly on the tower. With a few adjustments, I added an antique touch simulating a worn and torn photograph.
Pensé en agregarle aliens o sombras de monstruos fantasmagóricos, pero después recordé una frase que ese día comenté en alguna publicación: lo verdaderamente sobrenatural está en las cosas simples y bellas. Y sin dudas no hay mejor muestra de la belleza de la naturaleza que una mariposa. Después de unos pocos ajustes, logré una misteriosa imagen de una mariposa gigante sobre la torre. Con unos cuantos ajustes le añadí un toque antiguo simulando una fotografía desgastada y rota.
The final touches were to add some bloodstains and an old coin, all over some old newspaper ads. Honestly, I am quite happy with the final result and it reminds me a lot of those old hidden object games. Without a doubt, I achieved the effect I was looking for of ancient mystery. La verdad, estoy bastante contento con el resultado final y me recuerda mucho a esos juegos antiguos de buscar objetos. Sin dudas logré el efecto que andaba buscando de misterio antiguo.
