Few days ago, @anomadsoul gave a suggestion for everyone to introduce themselves to the hive community. At first I was like, what's the need? I felt the hive community was basically a migration from the steemit platform. But right now I think it is fair to make an introduction, especially when you've not been posting on steemit for a very long time. I guess that's practically me, and within this time a whole lot has changed.

STEEMIT REWIND
I joined Steemit mid 2017 between July and August and I can say it was really tough at the start. Made my 13th post before I finally got an upvote up to 1$. I started to gain grounds in late October, I was doing majorly fiction and poetry writings, I was also active in the utopian community and performed different categories of tasks. Then came the bullrun and everyone had great fun and larger earnings. That was the period Steemit recorded its highest traffic and user signup. The bull run didn't last so long, or it did not go as people had anticipated and that was how things started to fall apart. I grew my audience back then when I and @ajremy hosted weekly poetry contests ( THE POETIC SURGE ) with up to 50$ in prizes. This contest lasted for up to 5 weeks and we couldn't keep up with the prize pools so we had to end it.
After the big crypto fall, it seemed like nothing was working fine anymore, so I wasn't so active on steemit too. Then in June 2018, I heard about the Steemhunt community and became a solid and active member on the platform. If you go through my steemit blog, you'd see that I posted at least one steemhunt content everyday for more than 6 months. From February 2019, I started mixing my steemhunt activity with utopian. I wrote mainly blog posts about open source projects to the utopian community. By June, I wasn't active on the steem blockchain anymore. I had moved with reviewhunt which was the second tier of the steemhunt platform.
Early this year I heard about the news of Steemit Inc being sold to Justin Tron. I felt, "finally, a real reason not to go back". Not long after, I got the news of Hive, a hard fork of steem. It sounded really cool adding to the fact that it was now truly decentralized.
THE NEW ME
The new me sounds like an exaggeration to me. Within this time nothing much have changed, only that I gre lots of beards 😄. I guess I'm just going to introduce myself all over again because since I got on Hive, I've hardly come across a familiar name, apart from the whales.

About Me
I'm the third child of my family with 4 siblings, an elder brother and sister, then two younger brothers. I studied Science Laboratory Technology (Geology lab option) at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri. My degree program ended in December last year. It was a rather tragic ending, not on the academic part tho. Without beating around the Bush, I had an accident a day before my convocation. I was on a motorcycle on my way to go collect my convocation gown, when a mini bus hit the motorcycle from behind. So I spent my convocation in the hospital, but I'm very fine now. So I never got to take a graduation pic, and I'd rather not post a picture of me in the hospital with bruises.
Normally in my country, after your tertiary education, you get to serve the Federal government for one year, a programme called the National Youth Service Corp (NYSC). I'm yet st to do this, especially now that everything has been put on hold due to the corona virus, so I'm still at best, a graduate.

HOBBIES
I love reading history and facts books. Books that talk about some ancient history or myth about a community or group of people. I've read about the Greek and roman mythology, the Norse mythology and some books about Budha. Also love reading history books about the origin of popular countries, read about USA, The USSR, China and ofcourse my country Nigeria.
I also love to play Chess, Scrabble and a couple of other indoor games.
I love to play football too. I'm a big football fan with CR7 ad my favourite footballer and Manchester United my favourite club, been a fan since 2006 and will be a fan forever #GGMU.
Last but not the least, I love listening to music. I love R&Bs, hip hop, afropop, afro beats, raggae. Wizkid is my favourite artist.
TALENTS
I'm an excellent dancer in my bathroom, haha. Too bad I can't get the audience I deserve in my bathroom. I think I'm a good writer too although there are still a lot of aspects that I've got to improve on. I'm good with words and can easily play on words and make humour with them. I write poems, musics, articles, fiction stories and some other great stuff.

What I'm Bringing To The Hive Community
It's always best to flow with the wave. The Hive platform came with a new feature that allows users post to a particular community. This is a better way to target your content to the intended audience. I'll try to be active on a couple of communities. Give the best contents I can to that community. Also, I've already started recruiting some of my friends that missed out on the steemit days to the hive platform. Creating accounts for them have been tough tho, because I do not have enough hp to perform the invite user option. A friend is helping out anyways. I'll do my best to spread the word to other social platforms too, let's get this platform crowdy with content creators. Havefun everyone!!!
