Guess who made it to Hive!

Hello everyone, guess who finally joined Hive? Me!😃

My name is Temitayo Apata, I am a Nigerian but I currently reside in Italy. I am from a family of seven where I am the first son of my family and I take up the “elder brother role”. My family means so much to me and I do not take them for granted, I’d do any and everything just to make sure that they are happy. I can’t imagine my life without them in the picture.

Currently, I am far away from all of them and I miss them but technology fixes that as we all stay in touch every day and this sort of helps a lot.

I am currently undergoing my Masters degree program in Telecommunications Engineering, which will soon be over as I will be graduating in a matter of weeks, so it’s safe to say that I am a student :)

While studying remains a significant part of my life, I also pursue my passion for pencil art. it’s been years and years of drawing but whenever I sit with my pencil and canvas it still feels strange to be the one creating all these drawings. it feels surreal to bring my imaginations to life, with the different strokes, lines, and shades I make on my canvas I feel refreshed.

Drawing makes me happy and the fact that I get to see the smiles of my clients after they see portraits of themselves is super satisfying, I have had reviews from clients that have motivated me to keep getting better and better in my field.

My love for creating hyper-realistic pencil portraits knows no bounds. I love the energy that flows from my pencil to the canvas in front of me. I love how focused I am whenever I am drawing, how I am lost in my world trying to come up with a masterpiece. In this drawing process my mind is buried in whatever I am trying to bring to life and at this point, nobody else matters. This is one hell of an experience that I wouldn’t trade for anything.☺

From my drawing experience, I have been able to discover a sense of fulfillment, the energy and power in my hands, the capturing and translating of what I want to draw is remarkable and this to me is therapeutic and I love it.

From a very early age, I've been drawn to blank canvases, I never turn a blind eye to them. The urge to sketch out the first thing I think of every single time played a major role in my falling in love with drawing.

I have been captivated by the works of so many artists and many of their works have inspired me to be better. I might not be where I want to be currently but I have grown tremendously as an artist, Tayordartist of few years ago is not the Tayordartist of 2024☺

I love studying, don’t get it wrong, I’m not a nerd or anything I just love to learn new things every day I get the opportunity to.

Beyond my artistic pursuits and academic endeavours, I have a long list of things that I love to do and these things keep me occupied and entertained.

I love to cook a lot, and trying new recipes sort of makes my day, my mum is so proud of my culinary skills that she doesn’t hesitate to rub it on my sisters' faces, let’s say I am her “bragging right” when it comes to cooking and at home I am the chef of the house.

I play chess a lot, chess forces my mind to work very fast and to make decisions spontaneously and this to me is fun.

I love traveling, learning foreign languages, cycling, and taking long walks during my free time.

I love working out and eating healthy, I am very particular about what I eat and where I eat. For me, homemade meals are the best.

I love taking pictures. I love street photography, nature photography, landscape photography, and the rest. When I go out to take these pictures I am always happy. Going through my gallery at the end of the day and seeing all the amazing shots I have taken gladdens my heart.

I love playing video games with my friends as it helps me relax. I play games like FIFA 23, Injustice, and Need for Speed.

I am so excited to embark on this journey and to share with you all my experiences on this wonderful blockchain.

Before joining Hive I already learnt so much about the blockchain as my friend @ibbtammy always talked about it non-stop. I occasionally breeze in here to read her stories and that of others and I have been wanting to join Hive for a while now but creating an account was so difficult.

I tried to open an account 5 months ago but it didn’t work, I almost gave up until IB came up with another way to open the account and that was using the Inleo frontend, I was amazed at how it worked like magic. Finally, I can be a Hivean like her and bask in the Hive spirit as well :)

Three days ago when I created my account I made my first thread, seeing the love I received from the comment section I knew that Hiveans are sweet people.

I can’t wait to explore the blockchain.

I’d be sharing more of my drawings, my travels, cooking recipes, chess, and many others.

It’s a privilege to finally be here with all of you and I would also love to make meaningful connections here.
