Mountain climbing is now a part of life for teenagers. This can be proven by the increasing number of visits in almost all mountains in Indonesia.
Every climber certainly has a debut in climbing. I am "somewhat" a bit proud because I started climbing before the emergence of mountain-themed films in the sense that when climbing mountains is still not a trend like today.
My first climb began in January 2011, and the first mountain I touched was the peak of Mount Lawu, which is on the border of Central and East Java
Travel Stories
The atmosphere of calm discussion that night, together with the students of PESMA SDM Science and Technology, we were discussing the rihlah event (meaning travel), there were several proposed places that we would go to.
The final result of the discussion turned out to be that it was decided that this time it would be to climb Mount Lawu, the same as what had been done by the previous generation. The climb will be done when the odd semester break.
Heading for Solo
After the Isha Prayer, we had gathered in the al-azhar hall (the multipurpose hall in our dormitory) checking luggage before leaving for the Bungur Asih Terminal. After feeling complete we departed using a motorcycle - each.
Arriving at the Terminal, we immediately looked for the Regular Tarip AC bus (ATB) that was heading to Solo, because at that time there was Sumber Kencono so we had taken a bus that was very familiar to the citizens of East Java. If the wrong gag bus departs around 12 pm and arrives at the Tirtonadi Terminal in Solo at 05.30
From Tirtonadi Terminal, we continued on to Kalioso, precisely to the house of Mas Cahyo's parents (our supervisor at that time), we will rest first there. Cahyo's parents welcomed us kindly and prepared breakfast for us.
Cool, cool to eat for free, for us who at that time were still students, of course, really happy with something like this, in an instant breakfast was finished by us. After breakfast Cak Minud and Agus BR came from Magetan. Almost complete boarding members took part in this ascent, but unfortunately there were some who could not participate because they were still in their respective villages and did not get permission from their parents.
In the afternoon we returned to Tirtonadi Terminal, and we boarded a bus whose livery was similar - similar to Rosalia Indah, called Rukun Sayur. This bus will take us to Pesantren Isy Karima, where Mujahid studied in high school and succeeded in becoming Hafidz.
We arrived in the afternoon, this pesantren is located in Karang Pandan, Karanganyar. Under the foot of the mountain make the air in this boarding school very cool. Here we have provided a place to rest. Mujahid has prepared everything for us.
After the evening prayer, we gathered together, apparently one of the religious teachers at the pesantren gave us a briefing before the climb. The point of this climb is not just looking happy, or just joking, but take the wisdom, and be amazed at God's creation. Bertahmid when getting ease, and bertakbir when getting into difficulties such as facing steep inclines. There are many more messages from Ustadz.
Then around 10 pm, we boarded an elf that had been chartered earlier by Mujahid. We will go to Cemoro Sewu, Mount Lawu climbing post. Besides Cemoro Sewu, we can also start from Cemoro Kandang, but at that time the lane was closed due to the number of fallen trees.
We arrived until 11:00 p.m. After registering with the officers and checking all the preparations we are ready to start climbing, Bismillahirrahmanirrahim
step slowly slowly but surely. The Cemoro Sewu route is in the form of a neat cobbled path. Then in the beginning of the climb, there were many Cemara trees that were called Cemoro Sewu. Because a lot of cypress trees if there is wind that hits the tree will sound like that, the result of friction between the leaves.
The beginning of the climb was still safe, until at the post 3 heavy rain fell. Post 3 is full of shelters. One of the many (not one yes) of them are nature lovers from middle school (I forgot the name of the middle school) they are undergoing a kind of training before being appointed as a member. Some young female climbers are cold, and their faces look pale, I am surprised by the chairman who is just cool to talk without caring about his friends, especially girls. Unable to bear with such a situation we took out the stove, and boiled water and red ginger that we gave to the young unused young female climber. Alhamdulillah, things began to improve. The effect of warm ginger water makes it no longer cold. The rain has stopped. Because it was time for Fajr, we pray Fajr first before continuing the journey.
We continued the journey divided into 2 teams namely slow team and fast team. Faishal and I, who are rather overweight, entered the slow team. We are far behind with the fast team. But we were also accompanied by Mujahid and Mas Cahyo who had climbed this mountain many times, so even though we were left behind, we felt quite safe.
After being satisfied with taking pictures at the summit, we returned to Cemoro Sewu, we did not set up a tent or camp there, just climb the tek-tok only. That is why I feel that there is something lacking in things that will happen someday I will return to Mount Lawu.
Scenery like this that makes longing to go back up the mountain
