Good day and Happy New Week to y'all 😊.
This beautiful morning, I have a new drawing to showcase to you and of course it's my first pen drawing; I mean my first time making a realistic artwork with a pen.
Okay, so prior to this time, an artist friend advised that I try out pen drawing but I found it so difficult to even give it a trial. Wells, thankfully for yesterday's sermon in Church where we were told that upgrading our skills is one of the ways to financial freedom. I got home really motivated to do something with my pen and paper of which I did.
Even though I didn't have the recommended pen (I was advised that the preferred brand for drawing is BIC), I made sure to work with what I had at the moment to maintain my motivation. Despite being a beginner, the result isn't too shabby, and I'm committed to practicing further, understanding that practice is key to improvement.
My muse here happens to be one of the young and vibrant boys in the school that I teach. Every bit of this piece was quite exploring and I got it done with a blue pen and a pelican paper.
