Can you believe it, I got a client?!

To all the artists out there, hope you are all well,
Guys, I am so really excited. I haven't work for anyone but myself, in quite a while. So this commission was such a thrill for me.

My dad, who is such a great painter, got this message on facebook chat. It was about a painting order, for a wedding gift. This woman wanted ''the couple'' painted.
Little did she know, that my dad does not do portraits anymore. He never really enjoyed them to begin with.

So when he politely declined, he also recommended me.

I am so glad he did, for this woman messaged me almost in the same second.

When I saw the beautiful reference photo, I was so excited to start.

I am honestly not a big fan of big formats. And I say big, when I mean anything larger than a A4.
Also there is a catch, with aquarelle, you always have to wait for it to dry. it always has to be just perfect for you to achieve the right effect.

This is why, I mostly choose little pieces of cold pressed cotton paper, so I have more control over the splatters.

Even though I did struggle a little bit, I feel like happy with it.
What do you guys think of the end result.
