An Open Invitation| Original oil painting|

If somebody asks me what medium of art is the best and beautiful way for making an art piece, or my favourite medium, my answer would be oilpainting.

The versatility and the effectiveness of the colours in theis medium makes it so unique among the traditional methods. Even if there are modes like acrylic paints or gauche available oil painting with its saturation and slow workability stands out like a king for professionals works.

Today I want to show you my latest original portrait oilpainting of a model on oilpainting paper of A5 size with the making procedures.
I took the reference picture from Pixabay.com which is a copyright free photo/video providing website and this made me more confident in the work.

So here is my creation.

Making of The Art

Step.1unlike in other medium of colouring, here in oilpainting we have to mix the colours first to get the desired saturation of colours using the mixing knife on a pallet.
Here my intention was to make a human portrait painting which needed the natural human skin tone. The mixing of colours to get the human skin tone is a more important topic, so I will explain it from my ideas in an another post in future.

Step.2
Fixing the paper on a board or rigid plane using the masking tape.

This will help to get clean edges for the drawing while working with many colours. The starts drawing the basic outline of the desired portrait in the paper with a normal pencil.

Step.3 - Process of Painting
Started applying the colors that premixed on the pallet. For better efficiency it is advisable to start from the darker portions and then move to the lighter part.

But thr reality is we can have any change very easily 8n our oil paintings. Only thing requires is the time and patience. We can add as many layers as we wish.

It won't affect the quality of paper badly, instead it will make the painting more and more premium. After applying one specific colour or painting a specific region when the time comes to switch
to another different colours the brushes should be cleaned enough and make sure there are no pre colours left on it. While making painting with oil colours we should take our time to get the finishes and doing it with care will make the time short.

After completing the painting the brushes Choudhary be cleaned well with turpentine oil otherwise it will damage the brushes.

Applying some picture varnish over the painting after letting it to dry completely which may take 3 to 7 days depending upon the thickness of layer of colours we made. This will give the painting more protection and a glossy finish too.

Finally I manged to get this far...
